@bobthejob sorry I didn’t explain that very well - I have the bridge at the CD player - I have been checking the light coming through when remove the bridge and then the outputs at the back of the pcm and pccm

on the pcm the fibre optic light is on constantly from the minute it is powered up - on the pccm it is flashing a cycle

as in attached

By all accounts an install on a MOST car with an original OEM stereo is pretty plug and play. BobTheJob mentions the CAN vs AMP setting in the PCCM+ and you didn't address it in your reply. That really needs to be confirmed before anything else.

@Landscraper

I'm in exactly the same situation, with a 2001 TT, PCM1, DSP - the PCCM+ works well....apart from a hum and over amplified audio.

I bought the connects2 cable, only to discover it's useless as my car only uses the black connector block - not the brown.

Hopefully you have some miracle solution by now?

Thanks!

Mmmm, maybe something with the MOST converter? I guess you don't have another one to swap out and test?

I don’t - contemplating ordering a spare - was hoping anyone on here running most might remember if the converter gave them a steady light or oscillating like mine

If anyone could through further light on this please

so spoke to local Porsche - after taking my vin number they state I have option m680 - which I can see on my option list but fair enough

so I have to ground the m680 according to them - the instructions don’t state this only with pcm1 and dsp - and when I open up my amp connector I only have three cables attached

brown
red
red white

whwre would I ground in this or what would I take out anyone any ideas?

thanks

Nope! Still have the hum (pretty sure it's alternator whine). Learned to live with it and it's usually not an issue unless I'm listening to something very quiet.

I just did this - ground the M680 - yesterday. The M680 amplifier is in the front storage area, right hand side. If you undo the front carpet you can look in towards the rear and see it. There is a black 18-pin plug on the amp. Unplug this, it has a handle that has to be rotated to unplug it. Look at the plug, the pins are labeled 1-9 and 10-18. You need to find the wire that goes to pin 17. On my car it was a white with green stripe wire. Cut this wire leaving enough to splice a new wire into. Tape up the wire that goes into the harness, it's not used anymore. Splice a piece of new wire into the short piece of wire that extends from the plug. Connect the new wire to ground, there's an M6 bolt right there that has the amplifier ground already. Done!
I have uploaded the PCCM+ installation guide. The procedure is on Page 9. Please note, the installation guide states that the pin 17 wire is black/red/yellow - however my car has white/green.
Also note the installation guide states to use a new wire from Porsche to make the ground connection. This isn't necessary as you can easily splice in a short piece of new wire.

@theprf thanks for replying - does your car have pcm 1 or pcm 2? Most or non most? How many wires are connected to the plug on your amp? There are only 3 in mine at 9, 14, 18

thanks again

My car is not MOST, not PCM, just M680 with a standard CDR220 radio. If you had M680 you would have a DSP control panel under the radio with a number of buttons on it, and there would be wires connected to pins 1, 8, 9, 17, and 18 of that 18-pin plug.

opc are stating I have to ground the bose m680 but as don’t have dsp to remove I can’t figure out why? Anyone?

Default Wireless android auto

Can anyone confirm that wireless android auto will or will not work with PCCM+, say with the Motorola MA1 unit. I have 02 996 Turbo. Works fine with wired connection.

There is no wireless connectivity built into the system, however it can be achieved using a third party product.
