Porsche made my last three AOSs (at least there was a Porsche part number on them) less than 5,000 miles combined on those three. The UAOS is not going to prevent the regulator from failing, it is just making it super easy to replace. I may replace mine before each track event. Point being, the regulator being Porsche, Vaico, etc., doesn't matter as much now that it is cheap and easy to replace.

All the Factory "style" AOS's are made by Mann+Hammell (the big Kahuna in OEM air 'intake systems and other systems)and they're all crap. Mann+Hamell doesn't even sell an AOS in their name, but all factory "style" AOS's have a Mann+Hamell part number on them.

Once the UAOS design is implemented, the "crap" AOS's will never need to be replaced again, no mater what "brand name" was on the box !!

And the UAOS Accumulator+ Infra-red sensor will stop any potential hydrolock from making scrap metal out of your m96 engine.

#porschetech3.

Any suggestions for this? I think in the future u should bond a fitting to the resi to make it removable. This happened as i was doing the final install. Maybe i should have tried to make the connection at the aos after i put the intake on? Either way im not sure if i can just epoxy or jb weld it back up. Not sure what will stick. I am not sure i can get to the aos to remove the tube with out pulling the intake. It just seems u have to man handle the assembly to get all together when the motors in the car.

Don't try to epoxy it or JB weld, I will send you another Accumulator/ custom hose. The one I'll send is the custom hose with an aluminum section near the Accumulator and can be dissconected, the new Accumulator is also double the thickness at all exterior walls/nipples.

No need to ever manhandle the installation, if something isn't fitting easily, investigate the situation.

Sorry for the inconvenience, of course I will warranty this , I was just contemplating offering a written warranty for 25-50 years for Accumulators or re-worked AOS"s since tests of the materials show a minimum service life expectancy for under-hood engine environment to be four decades or 5000 hours.

Well i have to start the car tonight so ill use some silicone that can easily be removed if u want to rework the hose/resi. I was not manhandling your uaos, i installed it before i put the drivers side intake in so i was constantly shifting it around to get the intake slid in and getting to the intake bolts. I was manhandling the intake .

So can u get the the hose off the aos without pulling the intake? I see no way to get to it. There is no way to pull the rear crossover tube because the boots have internal stops. At least i could not manage it when i started this process.

You should be able to pull the resonator (rear plenum tube) with both intake distributors in place.
Just force the rubber piece onto the right intake.
Use a plastic interior tool to force the rubber seal into position.
The stops can fit over the intake, you just have to force it.
Then you’ll be able to unhook the AOS Hose from the AOS.
You can twist and turn the hose to get it out and the new one in.

Yes, you can get the upper hose off the AOS from underneath on a 6mt using some 30" long tools (kinda like walking on stilts...lol). If you have those skillz.

You can also get to it by removing the center crossover tubes. Slide the rubber boots to the outside, then work the resonance tubes out at an angle.

Also noted your change-over valve and bracket needs to be re-positioned pointing toward the throttle body. If is mounted behind the Accumulator is interfering with the Accumulator mounting and aligning properly.

The Plug-N-Play wiring harness has the extension made into it to accommodate the re-positioned change-over valve.

I also added an extra elbow and some hardline to the 3-way end.
This made it easier to fit.
Not a requirement, just made it easier.

Looks much better with the change-over valve mounted where it should be., better alignment of the Accumulator and less stress on the bracket and hose, proper alignment is the key.

Did you get the hose back securely attached to the Accumulator?

I sealed it with permatex Righ Stuff. Im letting it dry over night. I was gonna get it out of the garage but it looks like i am 4 litres short in coolant and i need some ch202 since i did a full flush of the ps. Although google didnt have a post on capacity i think its more then the liter i have. Ill be able to check the uaos performance tomor.

to be honest i have always been a good tester. I seem to be able to break the unbreakable.

Here is a 11.5" , 14 bolt carrier from my truck .

PT3 are those custom parts an updated part of the design as things have moved along or is it a custom option ?

Great !! I hope it holds until I can get you a replacement. My supplier is behind on filling my orders. He tells me it takes 18hrs to 3d print one piece !!! He has 4 $15k 3D printers and I think one of them is devoted to doing just UAOS Accumulators..
