lol....Every time I'm searching for something and it comes up on Ali Express or Alibaba, I skip right on by...
Not to worry, the Porsche Gods say to take special care of the faithful..You and other DIY Licencees can buy any piece of the Plug-and-Play kit you want, from me.
I don't think smog is going to be a big issue, the Ultimate AOS will blend in very well, and is actually a little better emission wise. Many County/States are moving away from emission testing.

Instead of guessing if the EPA will have any issues with what you are proposing to sell, just ask them. Do you really want to ruin your live over something stupid like this?

The definitions are pretty clear on the topic, that emissions devices are not to be tampered with.
These are the reasons that I left AOS alterations alone, and we never bypass them, or remove/ defeat any emissions component.

I can’t even get an answer from my local government as to where I can locate a fence on my property. Apparently some haven’t dealt with government enough to realize this.Just ask them , that’s funny. Ten government people will say sure, then the one who interprets the guideline differently will say no. No accountability.

That's not a bad idea, except he will likely be 100 years old by the time he receives a response from them. Likely an evaluation would need to be done to prove that the alterations do not impact the emissions negatively. This would be a "shed test". I have been involved with these things in the past.

Any changes to an engine can effect the emissions, like changing cam timing, ignition timing, compression ratio, cam profile , AFR ect. THe EPA could come down on any of that.
When I was lead troubleshooter for FoMoCo I had a Ranger 4 cyl 4MT that would hang at idle 2000 RPM. The engineer that had designed to Calibration for model (that hadn't been fully field tested in warm climate) sent me a new ECU with a new (not yet EPA Certified Calibration) to install to fix the concern. It had a sticker on it that said the vehicle could not be sold by the customer until the Calibration had been EPA Certified. All ECU changes have to be EPA Certified to be legal (to be sure they don't increase emissions), but small operations can't do this...

and asking for permission would be futile..

making a product that lowers emission
Its one thing doing work while you work for a company, but when its you, and it is only you, there's no saying "I just work here".
Thats all you have to know, and all you have to ask yourself. This has all likely been blown out of proportion, BUT I will say that right now these people are more active than they have ever been.
I have an engine here right now that came back under warranty after a Genuine Porsche AOS died 6,000 miles and 4 months into the life of a new engine. I have to leave the AOS as factory to remain compliant for street driven cars, and in this case, the rules cost me an engine. There's no excuse, and no one will make this "good" for me. Its not my part that failed, but it is my problem to repair, and no one cares.
