What did you do to your 996 today?

Added a new ****, the weighted nature of it makes a big difference in feel. Some issues getting it fitted to my quickshift but a quick file and it went on.
Had to reuse the old gaiter as the supplied wasn't long enough to work well.
Also finally got my new exhaust clamps for the tips, so these have finally been installed. Gundo hack is awesome! Can't believe these cars didn't sound like this from the factory!

Anyone ever consider replacing their black top
with a different color? I am eying a blue canvas on Etsy. I think the contrast on a black car would be nice.

Had to change a flat at my daughters softball game (heard hissing when I parked only to discover my rear tire quickly losing air). Luckily, my wife was already there so I took the Audi home, grabbed some power tools and by the middle of 3rd inning I was done. Discovered I couldn't close the frunk with the rear tire in it. Rather than mess with it, I just threw it in the Audi. I have to assume it would fit, no? Are we supposed to put the flat in the back? Anyway, here she is back in the garage. My wife commented that she "liked" the red wheel...

Changed the solid transmission mount for a stock one with powerflex insert. what an awesome difference. Made the car so smooth and enjoyable to drive after all the vibes and noise that the solid one causes. Used an AGA tool, and did it on small jack stands. Would be so much easier on a lift!
Anyway, great improvement.

Pulled my some very ugly bits of 20 year old clear bra off the fenders and from under the gas filler door and continued putting miles on the freshly rebuilt 3.8. Absolutely loving the way the engine feels now.
Yellowed and gross
MUCH better.

Reminder to everyone to fill your spare if you haven't done it in a number of years (it will likely be empty -- mine had 4 psi )
