What depth did you set the RMS?

I set the Seal to 13mm below the crankshaft face. This seemed to be the consensus across multiple sources. After looking closely at everything with the seal removed,I would guess that the exact depth is not super critical. The critical factors seem to be getting the seal lip off of the area previously worn by the former seal while not going too deep into the crankcase.

Now I’m hoping to make it to the 102 class in February.
Yeah, that was super informative. I learned quite a bit of new stuff and added to my to-do list during the class. I signed up for the 102 class during the break in the class.

I'm very lucky that this is so close to home, so I don't have to pay for airline tickets or rental car--just hotel for a few nights. I figure the hands-on knowledge I get in the 102 could easily save me the cost of the class even if I don't plan on rebuilding my own engine. The better I can understand the inner workings of this engine, the better I can understand how to treat it and maintain it.

Flat6 did a bunch of work on my new-to-me 996 in September and I hope to not have to send my car back in the near future.

Your car looks great, fantastic stance; may I ask what is the ride height measurement now w/ the coilovers from either fender lip to center of wheel or to the ground? Thanks, cheers,

I took mine to a Lone Star Region PCA and someone took some pictures of my car...well, kinda.
They posted them on the region's Facebook page.

Mine is the third car back:

Bao-

thanks, I think it looks right too. I am away from the car today but will measure for you tomorrow. I used GT3 specs for ride height and alignment settings.

cheers,

Yes, I too would like your fender to ground measurements if that is not too much to ask. I still get rubbing on my fronts at a high angle of turn, so I am interested in comparing numbers.
