What did you do to your 996 today?

I currently have Fabspeed tips and was disappointed that 1 side is fake.

First drive in a while, detailing was super busy from March until the first half of June and now I hit a bit of a lull so I decided to get the Porsche out and run some errands. We also had bought a 2003 Cobra a month ago so I was getting that sorted. First things first, thought I solved my mouse problem but nope. Noticed some droppings in the cabin, not much, thought maybe I had just missed it when cleaning it before. Open the frunk and those little bastards had been in there again, so I cleaned all that up. Then I put the top up and I found two little nests in between the headliner and top of the vert top. Unclipped the headliner enough to give it a good cleaning. Finally able to get it out and go for a drive, its funny how much different driving this thing is next to the Mustang. Given they are about the same age the Porsche barely rattles and drives much better. Obviously two different driving experiences but driving them back to back makes you appreciate the quality of how the cars are built. Maybe I should just sell it so creatures don't keep making homes in it lol but we do have critter control coming out tomorrow to start cleaning the mice around the house, apparently there are bunch in the attic along with squirrels.

Yes, I used the link provided by a board member here. Considering what new ones cost, I think they look great.

Well, on Sunday
rinseless washed the car and then finally got up the courage to flash my ECU (Vivid). Yes, I can feel the vroom, but probably the most amazing thing about it is the almost cable throttle like response. As a habitual declutcher / double declutcher, this was (slow response) one thing I hated about the e-gas. Problem Solved. Now when I double declutch the blip doesn't just sound good, it actually happens fast enough to be useful. And the vario changes they added do seem to have brought back some of the missing 3500rpm torque. It certainly feels strong to me. Of course the magic still happens at 4K but the change is less dramatic. Or so I think. The car was already fast enough for me
I highly recommend the Vivid folks, and their memorial day sale was too good to pass up. Why pay 350 more for the other flash options? I couldn't justify it.

I have his GT3 dive planes setting on a shelf waiting to go on my car after it comes back from F6I.
I cleaned out my car on most of my personal items.
The rest will need to be removed soon...my 996.2 is leaving TX soon headed for GA.
I received new 295/30R18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S today for my OZ rear wheels.
ASAP Tire (Tire Rack Mobile Installer) is coming tomorrow to install them and move the "older" 285/35R18 PS4S tires to my factory Carrera II wheels.
The "older" tires on my OZ wheels have hardly any wear.
They're still in the green on my tread gauge...barely.
The "oldest" tires on my Carrera IIs are down to almost the red on my tread gauge.
Then putting the Carrera IIs on my car for the trip to F6I.
I didn't want F6I to have worn tires with little tread while breaking in my engine.
295/30R18 vs 285/35R18
.9" shorter, 1.1" wider tread width
