EDIT: I see from a later post that Continental radio below is a different model than the one mostly discussed or RL (doesn't look bad though, reviews are mixed)
Is there a particular place to get it? I see that there is one listed on Amazon for only $200 -- thought it was a lot more expensive than that, or maybe that's a different model.
To me it looks mostly correct except for the backlit LCD panel (versus orange LED of the numbers/letters only) -- that part of it seems a little too retro for the 996 (pic from Amazon -

Bergvill sells them from denmark or somewhere close. Good company to deal with. I had a kenwood with high line inputs so i used an amp.
dont forget to buy their "porsche" sticker for the face.

I bought this harness to make it plug and play in my '99 with hi-fi option 490.

My pic is also deceiving, it's a closer match than it looks here.

That's the unit I bought. It's actually much closer to the correct colors than the Amazon pic shows. I bought this model because I thought I might want to play a CD sometime but now after a few years in, that hasn't happened . It does make it seem more period correct though.

Still seems like a very good choice and reasonably priced. I wonder how it compares functionally/feature-wise to the other Continental radio. I guess we should use model numbers to distinguish.
