Drove it to and from Barber. Parked it between a couple of youths.
992 Carrera S and 991.2 Turbo S
Why is it the one in the middle looks so much better? I have really grown to love the headlights and how the car narrows up front compared to the newer models.

Now I am intrigued to look at the actual dimensional differences. Ive always heard the newer ones are "larger" but here it looks quite dramatic. Nice shot!
Whoa what an angle. Not liking the lines of the 992 AT ALL! Middle and right are smoking!
Wish the turbo was back a little so we could see it's face better
I was a little late thinking of the snap and the sun started dropping below Race Control. The 991.2 Turbo S is a ‘pretty face’ with beautiful nose job. That car and the 360 Modena are the ultimate “Sorry honey, but I’m taking home the car…not you”, super models to me.

Finally replaced the sunroof seal. I would have done it earlier, but one of the DIY threads on it said it took no more than an hour each to remove and reinstall so I thought it was a bigger job than it was. I also bought a trim tool like the DIY thread recommended. Well, in reality it took about 1 minute to remove and five minutes to install the new one. I probably could have done it by hand and a flathead screwdriver for a couple of spots. Very easy.
The car is much quieter on the highway now. It was extremely windy before. The new seal had a felt like texture on the sealing side. My old one was completely smooth and rubber feeling to the touch.
Coolant tank was leaking and mount bushes were disintegrated and amazingly transmission was just laying inside of the large circles.
This is how a Gen 2 Tiptronic mounts to the chassis. I could not get the mount lined up so the side bolts would start because I could not see down the hole. Then the Holy Spirit gave me the brilliant idea to insert my boroscope in the hole and then adjusting the jack height and prying the mount I could see the hole line up with the threads, and the bolt slipped right in.
Bit the bullet and ordered a gt3 console delete. ECS has a February 11th estimated ship date, so we’ll see if they’re actually off of back order or not!

Best bit of modification I did in my C4..
My Dog Murphy sure appreciates the extra Head Resting space..!

It's good that you caught the worn out trans mount. A worn out front mount has been tied to damaging the Tip "transfer case" which is the part on the front of the trans that turns the power 180*.

With transmission floating in metal bracket I'm surprised there wasn't major bangs or vibrations. Symptoms that are gone is light engine vibration when passing about 1000 RPM, and a mild whining when going around a turn with accelerator pressed down.
