Default RUF Sport Springs and Bilstein B8's Just Installed

So happy I finally installed the RUF Sport Springs and Bilstein B8's. Love the lowered stance and the ride quality is just what I hoped for. Smoother on the highway and roads and tighter through the turns. Feels how the car should in my opinion. No brainer upgrade, sorry it took me so many years to get around to it.

Took it for a sunroof open, windows down drive. Christmas and Thanksgiving are two of my favorite days because of the light traffic. That the weather is so nice is just a bonus.
Now I'm off to the kitchen to work on getting some Surf N' Turf action ready for later...

I do all my own work except for inspection and alignment! Would love to have details on how you do alignment! Since divorce I only have a tiny one car garage... So I am a driveway mechanic!

SmartStrings One of the best investments I've made in tooling. I did the jackstand strings, tried laser levels, but this makes it so nice as it's all attached to the car, so as you roll, raise, lower, etc, everything stays square. If you take your time, you can do as good a job as any common alignment shop. Tip: if you can get a helper that can either turn wrenches on the adjusters, or can measure accurately, life is MUCH easier. The hardest part is crawling under, making an adjustment, crawling back up, measuring, then back under.... Two people, job easy and done.

For camber/caster, pick up a simple digital level and a couple of bits of square aluminum tubing, cut to fit the rim diameter. That and a carpenters square to make sure the tubing is perpendicular to the floor, level on tubing, read and adjust.

Looks good. I don't understand the GTS decal on there, though.

Really? Smoother on the highway? You have my attention!
What size wheels are those? 18, 19"?
How much does that combo lower the ride height?
Right now I'm completely stock on a 03 C2

Stance looks solid. Where'd you get the springs from?

Am debating lowering mine that's currently completely stock...

String alignment is the way to go.

Default GTS on Door

I just thought it would be fun to put the GTS on there because the car has GT3 seats, steering wheel, shift ****, short shift kit. And both doors have Heuer decal on them. See photo.

The wheels are the stock 18's. Powder coated black gloss. Springs are RUF ordered directly from RUF and shipped quickly from Europe. Height from floor to wheel well is now Front 25 1/2" and rear 25 5/8". Feels smoother on the highway. Harsh bumps on side streets feel more firm. RUF states these springs lower the car about 1 inch all around. Stays more level in turns. Feels like lower center of gravity.

I mean… it’s your car and my opinion doesn’t matter but since there is a GTS designation in the 911 model line, it’s strange to call it a GTS when it’s not. Don’t mind me… people relabeling their cars is a pet peeve of mine. Can’t stand it. Lol. Yes, I do need to chill out.

Nice car, though.

Well done! You'd be surprised by how much more shine you can get by following up with a polish after using a compound. Sometimes compounds can leave some haze as they have more aggressive abrasives. A polish helps to bring out the clarity in the clear coat. Typically the process is: compound, polish, protect.
