Is this where the wiring goes into the trans? When I changed my fluid two years ago it went into limp mode, had to tow it to the dealer and they said that they cleaned out trans fluid from where it connects to the trans. Seemed odd at the time but now it makes sense. But I think that big oil tube next to it must have been leaking, or must still be leaking.
Any ideas?

Had a leak in the a/c condenser, it's up under the dash..I thought long and hard about doing this repair myself but my wife and my bad back talked me into taking it to the local shop.
Here's the old condenser, lots of green a/c oil all over it.
Had them redo the blend doors while they were in there, As it turned out, the foam was almost completely gone on both of them so definitely needed. Here's a door with new neoprene insulation on it.
This is what i avoided having to dismantle to get to the condenser. Not scary to you experienced guys.
Lots and lots of money changed hands, but with cold a/c and heat for the winter my wife is happy.

That is soooo scary. I consider myself to be good with mechanics and tools but am intimidated by these cars.

The plug and housing is much lower. it actually goes directly into the conductor plate which is just above the oil pan. This link is the part that leaks and needs replacement, it wicks fluid up the wire harness causing all sorts of problems.

I have more pictures of the dismantling if you'd like me to PM them to you.
Its an aftermarket core that my indy sourced a while back for me, actually looks more efficient than the Porsche core. Honeycomb vs fins, i forget the mfg name but can ask him if you want. As far as i know Porsche doesn't sell just the evaporator, just the entire "box assembly". I paid something like $175 for the core a couple years ago..

Its really not that hard to get here. Just a bunch of screws for the most part.

Three Wheelin'
Cars and coffee formula garage, discovered bad failure on 4.0 engine
Went to cars and coffee formula garage Houston, big turnout. Variety of cars. Formula garage is an air bnb. They have a bunch of nice cars, racing simulators, multiples. Met a few more people. Another member and I raced a GT3 in the simulator on some German track, pretty cool takes time to get use to, specially the super sensitive steering wheel. If you are ever staying over Houston try Formula garage. Shriv the owner is a car collector Porsche guy. GT2, GT3, speedster those are displayed in the garage. Anyway pay attention to the 4.0 engine from the GT2. Then dinner with my son at Outback. Awesome day plus drovd the car for 75 miles.
Good turnout at cars and coffee
Air cool individual stacks
1973 with 3.2 EfI engine
4.0 Gt3
Awesome blue on the gt4
Racing simulator
Speedster
Gt2.
Gt2 4.0 engine. Look at throttle plate on top of engine. Missing piece to the left, broke and messed up cilínder number 6 on the 4.0.
Sitting side haze. Ipa. Texas Tech beat West Virginia in college football.
Prime rib at Outback, in my opinion better than at high class steakhouse good price. For me better yet because we get 50 percent discount because my son works there.

Charm City
Well, really it was yesterday, but drove it down to Baltimore for Charm City CX race. Even with the bike on the back, got over 26mpg on the trip.
Beautiful day for a ride on both.

Replaced brake pads all around. The last brake pad wear sensor on the last caliper I broke one of the small plastic tabs. Was so annoyed. Not the end of the world though, I will replace it out when I have a moment soon.
I put Textar pads on that I got from ECS. Took the old pads off and they had Brembo logos but say Textar at the top. Never really looked into the details, who cares anyway lol
