Swapped out my stock 74mm throttle body with a Soler 74-78mm TB. Warmed up the motor and did a 30 minute, 20 mile drive for adaption. Ran nicely through RPM range to 7k and all is good. Drove back to the house and left the engine running while I jumped out to grab something out of my garage. The motor just quit. No warning. Just quit. Never happened before. Fired it back up and seemed to just be an anomaly. Fast forward 2 hours and I’m on the way to the airport. As I’m commanding 1/2 gas on first sharp acceleration command while merging onto a main artery road the car s just a slug. No oomph and the torque is gone. I couldn’t get the engine to rev past 5k RPM with full throttle. No CEL. Same symptoms with a/c on or off. VarioCam is working when it’s supposed to. Shoot! I’ll be able to trouble shoot more Saturday. I’ll run Durametric and probably disco the battery and reset the ECU. If I have any more issues I’ll throw the original TB on a go from there.

My initial thought is butterfly on the Soler not opening enough. Last thing touched stuff all checked, so temporarily at a loss. I’ll follow up soon.

Looks like you got most of the TechArt pieces I have. Front bumper is the same. I sold my headlights with covers and got some Litronics so I Can see

Put in a lightly used set of Supercups. About 3x louder than the Maxflo's at lower RPM's. We need a goldilocks!

Where did you buy and how much. Mine are terrible. I feel like I’m stripping the thread hole when I put them back in

New motor mounts (looked like the original mounts...car rides so much better now. Also bolted on the 'amazon' Fabspeed super cup exhaust. Holy hell is it lout BUT IT IS AMAZING. Immediately took the car up Emmigration Canyon just outside of SLC, Utah. Just amazing. Highly recommend. But yeah...its loud.

Nice touch.

Did the pass throughs come silver or did you do it? Also a good look. Wondering if it gets worn thin from the webbing.

Default 303 graphene paint coating.

The original paint of my 2/98 coupe has been treated with 303 products graphene coating, I liked it so much I did my 2019 F 150 and my wife’s amg. Anyway, it’s not cheap but I loved the results. Now I am going to test durability, they claim 1 year, I don’t know, let’s see how long it last on this Texas weather. I used to work selling and formulating these kind of products for professional detailers and car dealers at a commercial level. I’m really impress with this product specially when someone quoted $800 for a ceramic coat, 5 year warranty with a once a year reapplication. My 996 had taken me back to all the stuff I used to do with my cars when I was in my thirties, I just turned 53 and it is like a new hobby obsession for me.
This stuff works on glass
and wheels.
