I figured out the "brown note" isn't a musical note.

It's when you get a rear engine car sideways in a down pour. And fighting that instinct to just stand on the brake pedal.

Well now I get to shop for tires
And new underwear

i know the feeling, at njmp on sunday someone dropped antifreece at turn 2. Its a blind over the top right hander at 70mph. I went 4 wheel slide to the right, corrected and whipped into a 4 wheel slide to the left, corrected again and staightened it out with a stab of the gas pedal. Felt like it went on for 20 sec and a half mile. It was probably 2 sec and 100 ft. Never went off track and all was good. Kinda felt bad for the owner that lost the fluid. He had an issue the week before, dealer said it was fine and cleared him for the track. Needless to say he ended his day after the 1st session.

…and fortunately, not a new car. Been there, done that.

Your interior has a savannah beige race stripe lol

Not what I did to my car, but, I'm stuck in quarantine, albeit not difficult quarantine at JW Marriott Phuket Resort, but quarantine all the same. So, no car, no driving. The only thing to do other than walk on the beach or work is to watch youtube videos of people driving 996's while on the exercise bike in the morning...

this past week did engine mounts, front end links, air filter, reverse lamp switch, and the sports exhaust tips. After that was completed .... AutoX!. Car did really well. Much different from the BMWs I'm used to racing.

Dropped the car off for an oil change. They took a deep dive into the suspension since I am planning on coilovers but said everything looks great. I was budgeting replacing all the control arms, etc but turns out I might not need to...yet.

Only other feedback was that there was a small amount of oil seepage and recommended spark plugs/packs in the future. Might get that buttoned up before winter.

Looking at service records, plugs were last replaced July 2015 at 61212 miles. I am at 78,600 now.

Moved from New Orleans, where they don't test emissions (they don't test anything for that matter) to Houston where they do...so I had to swap out my Fabspeed catless x-pipe for Topgear 200 cell cross-overs.

I'm pretty pleased! The 200 cells with my Fabspeed Maxflo mufflers sounds excellent...I was never really happy with the catless sound (too farty) but now she growls and it's not any quieter with cats; the wife said "it sounds like a tiger!" ha ha!

Install wasn't bad, hardest part were the awkward angles of the o2 sensors.

I feel your Pain, I installed some "OEM" Cats a month or so back and the angle of the Sensors made it pretty difficult..

..so much so that I haven't been happy with the situation since, so have ordered a Hayward & Scott Cat Bypass X Pipe which I'll install in November when it comes through..

The cat less x pipes is basically a race set up, you loose power down low so it’s not a good street set up. I also have fab speed max flo with their headers. Welcome to Houston, we have two cars and coffees this Saturday, I’m going to the one at Whiskey Cake since I live in Katy, normally awesome turnout and the weather is looking good.
if you track your car they are also having an event at MSR in angleton with Porsche Houston north. I found out about that one last Saturday but we had a previous commitment so I can’t make it to the track, they will be giving rides on some Porsche’s.

you may want to spint those clamps as you may see them below the bumper cover… just dont want you to have to do any extra work later
