Not good (devilish mileage). Drove the car today. I have a scrubbing sound coming from my driver side rear wheel. I hope it’s just brakes and not a half shaft or wheel bearing.
More like what I'm about to do in about 600 miles. This will be my 3rd oil change with DT and first UOA so looking forward to getting a baseline. 1st change lasted about 2000 miles due to IMS job and the second one is inching to 5000 miles since November so right on schedule.
Also, stud conversion kit from Rennline should be arriving today!
My car has a tiptronic. it developed a leak between the rear case halves (near where the output shaft would be if it was a C4, but in the main case area) shortly after having the fluid and filter changed. Late last fall it started to slip under power. The transmission has to come apart to fix the leak so while in there the shop will change the conductor plate, wire harness (two known fault areas of the 722.6 tranny), and check for burned clutch plates and whatever else is going on in there.
The Apollo Guidance Computer was built in my Hometown of Sudbury, MA at the Raytheon plant there...I was still a ways away from coming on to this earth, but have always been proud of the contribution my little town had in what is in my opinion, one of the greatest accomplishments of man kind.
Being a former airline pilot, the Apollo missions are one of those sacred things. The Right Stuff, being one of my favorite movies. I was sitting on my mothers lap when they landed on the moon the first time.
