Half what did to and half what did for. Closed on a house in Charleston area then hit big red with clay. Buff and polish to get rid of swirls next. The ridiculous blue walls are not far behind.

Nice sign... "Never underestimate the POWER of stupid people in large groups"? ha... that sums up Rennlist at times.
I installed a new head unit and speakers right before I put the car in storage last winter and didn’t have a chance to really set it up or test it. This spring I found that the right front speaker had a nasty crackle. Dang. So working backwards I pulled that speaker and the spade connectors were on good and tight and the Metra pigtail was attached properly to the factor speaker wiring harness. Hmmm. But between the harness and where the speaker wires disappear into the dash it looked like the foam insulation had degraded quite a bit and was nasty and sticky. I could see copper. So I wrapped it all in electrical tape as far down as I could. Result? Crackle GONE. 😀
I finally did something to be able to play this game...
Pretty sure something was spilled on the passenger seat (not by me) that made it cardboard stiff, and in the New Orleans heat it finally cracked open.
So I scored a decent-shape seat from ebay and performed a seat-o-plasty!
I replaced this:

And, like everyone's, my driver bolster was worn, so I swapped the old/outgoing passenger backrest skin and foam cushion to the driver seat:

Great work! Now get some Leatherique on those things to top of all the work!

Is that the first time for you or does it require a lot of experience to remove foam and reskin the bolsters?

It was my first time, but it was a whole lot easier than taking apart the seat (which I tested with the old outgoing seat). None of the guides I found online were exactly right regarding the bolts mounting the backrest to the frame.
For the skin to come off, I just had to remove the plastic tilt lever trim(s), then unclip the leather at the bottom/back of the backrest, which you pop out with leverage.
For the foam, it's not glued on, it comes apart from the backrest plastic mold pretty easily.
All in all, took about 10 minutes!
