Today was outer tie rods. Now its in for the alignment.
Next will be the trailing control arms. Those things are floppy after 17 years. Also making plans for the transmission mount.....

Unpacked the spark plugs, tubes and coil packs I ordered. I can find nothing in the paperwork showing they've been replaced so I decided to them as a preventative measure while the car is in the air for its annual oil change.
As an added bonus, it's supposed to cool down over the weekend before we're back in the '90s next week.
I ordered these standoffs for the heatshields to compensate for the larger coil packs. Hopefully they get here tomorrow.

Three Wheelin'
Do you have a photo of the damage? I have a bit of PO carnage to address, mild but annoying. It is hard to detect but would like to hear what you had done and what to expect for cost.

I should have taken a picture but didn’t think of it at the time. Sorry! The inner bead ring basically had a flat spot. About 8” long. I am at a loss on how they got the tire to seal let alone balance. Almeida's Wheel Repair in Norwell Mass did the repair. He has a digital straitening machine that worked great. He usually charges $150 to straiten and $175 to refinish. He had my wheel for a week after saying I could have it in two days. He got slammed for business that week and felt bad so charged me $195 total.
I also told him I would be bringing the other three in in the spring for refinish due to the fact I will be getting new tires.

Stand-offs like this are a great idea.
Also, I hate when people get on and keyboard-warrior out a criticism and the "obvious", "best" solution. So take what I say as just a general friendly discussion point, and with a grain of salt.
I have tried to avoid using stainless steel directly on the aluminum block. The dissimilar metals (especially with water, salt, and heat) can lead to galvanic corrosion. And an example forum posting of someone with a sailboat with an aluminum mast and stainless hardware

I'm going full geek with this and trying brass as well as stainless. I will also be using two different anti-seize compounds. I'll check them in 6-8 months to see which combo is working best.
Yes, the stainless are McMaster-Carr and the brass ones are from Ebay China.
This 12 metre I was sailing lost the mast because of a rigging failure due to corrosion. Aluminum hull/mast with titanium rigging.
Poor cathodic protection on one of our pipelines.
