Didnt even know u could get something like that. I just used a dead blow mallet.

Yes, me too for the front left. Due to a spin at the track, one of my front tires had pulled down the fender lip. So it had to be fixed on the spot. For the rears, I was looking for something that ended up looking more OEM.

Did this the other day to my 99 C4. Added a center radiator kit, re-painted the inner radiator shrouds and made a little grill for the center radiator from some wire mesh.

Yes, In my case, I am running a 295 rear tire. For track/grip reasons, I would like to be able to run a 305 wide rear tire, or space the 295s out another 5mm. As mentioned the horizontal flange lip on the 996.1 is quite lengthy. The 996.2 are rolled and much better in this area.

996.1 has quite a big lip on the inside of the rear arch... if you have the lip rolled (ie; folded vertical, so it lies flat against the inside of the rear arch) you can get wider wheels/tyres or lower off sets.
Rolling allows you to run something like a 10x18 et38 or 11X18 et50 rear wheel, on a lowered car... where the tyre would foul the lip without rolling.
