If I had known there was this much interest, I would have taken the shrink tubing off for a closer look.
Did it improve the AM radio reception? That's really the only complaint I have with the Becker radio.

I had Michelin Pilot Sport 4S installed on my car today.
Since I installed my Feal coilovers a few weeks ago I’ve had a bad vibration above 70MPH.
I went back and checked the torque on the lug nuts and all the suspension parts and double checked the control arm bushings.
I checked and I hadn’t lost a wheel weight.
I decided to replace my aging tires.
The vibration is gone!
Woohoo it sure drives nice now.
It‘s rainy today so I had to keep the speeds below triple digit, but 90MPH was smooth.
Weird that the vibration started right after I installed the suspension and got an alignment.

I never used the AM band on the Becker. I can check the reception on the Continental tomorrow though.

Installed a numeric shifter and cables. Its deffinately a mechanical feel. It turns out that the po had already installed an agency power short shifter, so the shift length is still about the same. I never check so now i have a shifter to sell.

I pulled the widebody C4S 18" twists off the 99 and installed my GT3 mk1 wheels. I never realized how heavy the twists are..LOVE the look, but if you decide to go for them, definitely spend the extra coin on the hollow spoke. I'm playing around with tire sizes, but just the difference in weight makes the car feel like I've jumped +50hp. Feels nimble and changed the whole dynamic of the car. It started raining while I was out so I took advantage of some empty lots and roads, and in the rain with the drop in unsprung weight she felt like a real GT3!!

Installed Ben's Ball Bearing short shifter. Night and day difference over stock. Best bang for the buck modification I've done

Tires were probably worn weird and after the suspension/alignment was sorted out, the high/low spots on the tires caused vibration. That's my .02...

Thank you sir!
Still have to do the rest of the engine bay due to a Pentosin leak from AC compressor and years of dust...
It was time to service the air filter and I decided to clean the entire air box. I used brushes, soapy water and Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer to do so. Can't wait to see if it will stay like this for a while but so far dust doesnt seems to stick to it.
I also cleaned-up the MAF sensor with CRC MAF cleaner and it seems to have improve the idle a little bit.
On a side note I used Denso air filter and Im really impress with the fitment. Price difference was considerably higher for the OEM Porsche and I heard only good things about Denso. Hope I took the right decision!

Thanks
Hugo

Replaced the crappy Pioneer head unit with a Continental, which has bluetooth and DAB. Simple installation with a harness from Bergvill.

The Continental is much, much higher quality than the Pioneer, and looks pretty much factory.

Very nice! The continental units have a classic flat black with orange LED look which matches most of the European cars like the 996. You'd think the major manufacturers (Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, etc.) would learn from this company. The only drawback is Continental doesn't put simple pre-amp outputs on their unit. Bergvill uses a speaker-to-line resistors to get the outputs down to a suitable range for the Porsche amps. Not the best method, but it works.

If this is still around after the new year let me know!
Exhaust first (December) and shifter next. Then I'll start searching for a smaller diameter steering wheel...
