I have an '86 Carrera. The profile on the door pocket is closer to the 993 Hi-Fi profile than the standard door pocket profile. But not identical.
It looked like the Hi-Fi reinforcement piece might fit if it had 1mm or so trimmed from 'shoulder' end of the piece.
The black surface inside the door pocket is fuzzy. I don't know yet if the underlying material is ABS or some type of pressed hardboard.

Have been following both threads - Apparently I'm a hi fi guy. Hadn't known there was a difference, good that it has come to light before production of fix/ordering of parts. Really impressed with the effort & co-operation going into this from both parties. Both ( g morat & Beside the box) are gentlemen & scholars.
It's not the hifi or the non-hifi......There is another design. Weird, you'd think that if they were redesigning it, they would have tried to address its fundamental flaw?!?

So, this is the HiFi version as close as I can tell with the conversions of inches to mm. No way to know really without printing one up and test fitting. Anybody got a spare hifi door pocket or are close to Raleigh with a HiFi optioned car I can test fit on?
Maybe someday I'll get to sorting this out if I get a partner in crime to test fit. I'd prefer local of course as otherwise it adds to the costs and the iteration time. Gonna stick a fork in it for now. This last one was created by taking measurements from a scaled photo and cross checking them against measurements from WithoutTheBox's abs cuts converted to mm.
