Finally brought mine back after getting the door check and other things touched up. Now for a new battery, since away so long and no battery tender, needs a new one. always needing constant care apparently.
There's a connector under the passenger side (behind the glove box) has maybe 16 pins in it- some of these control the auto function of the spoiler- make sure they're all seated properly and not broken. I did the "mod' to manually move the spoiler up and down and all I needed to do was pull one of thee pins. There's a write up out here some place on it- could be just as easy as that. good luck.

Yeah I read about that and it is what i will probably do. Spoke to @ToreB last night about the controller and he said it is common that these go bad over time from just age. I will send it to him and get it fixed and then set it up for just "manual mode"

A lot of awesome cars. I brought my silver 993. And I met SToronto from this site. He brought his red beauty.

Good to meet you! Congrats on the 993, Arctic Silver, one of my favourites in the 993.
Decided to figure out why my bluetooth streaming to the CDR-210 sounded like garbage compared to when playing a CD. I opened the door panel and the speakers were fine. I decided to call Becker auto sound and ask what gives. They said that using my iphone to play the music, the volume on the phone was too high causing distortion. I lowered the volume on my phone from max to a range of 25 - 50% and it sounded crystal clear. Just posting this in case someone else has the same scenario. tmyk!
Radios from this time period were not manufactured with a simple rear- panel connection for aux. The CR210 and CDR210 can be modified for Bluetooth streaming. For all modifications on these radios they will need to be sent in. $125

This has always been true of any Bluetooth sound system I've ever had connected to my phone from portable speakers to the 2.1 system in my garage, my 7.2.1 in my living room, and yes my PCCM.
It will vary by phone but I only need to turn my phone volume down to about 80% for no distortion.

Perhaps it had a built-in algorithm to detect such a thing and mitigate the effect. Or Perhaps the JBL was never capable of the amps a full system is so it just never got amplified audibly. Interesting to speculate tho.
