It wasn't today, but over the weekend I drove from NC up to Philly to attend RADwood Philly 2022 (delayed from 2020).
I took the long way up, driving Route 15 almost the entire way, and then came back on I-95. 15 was very scenic and very slow, but a nice drive. I-95 is a disaster, with horrific pavement and traffic. I did stop for a nice lunch in Leesburg, VA on the drive north, and for a visit to the (relatively) new National Museum of the United States Army near Ft. Belvoir on the way back home. The museum chronicles the history of the Army and it's citizen-soldiers from the earliest days of the Revolution through today. Really a fantastic museum and very well done, IMO.
The 993 got about 25 mpg for the trip despite temps in the mid-90's, two people in the car with luggage, and endless stop and go traffic. All the while the AC did a surprisingly good job keeping things cool and the oil temp never went above the first mark on the gauge. It made for an excellent weekend road trip.

I did a road trip from Bergen to Kristiansand / Denmark/ Germany/ Austria/ Slovenia and back............ the twisties, waterfalls & scenery in Norway rivals anything in the USA and Canadian rockies.... <3

This also reminds me of a V8 B6 S4 I got to drive while my 84' Carrera was in the shop. The shop's owner let me take it as a loaner, it was a fantastic performer. I was very tempted to trade for it when the 911 was done.
