Installed Rennline tuneable motor mounts with the "sport" bushings. I find there is quite a significant increase in NVH but I don't mind it. Definitely improved the feeling of the car. Also installed my new spoiler transmission and got it working again. Popped on some coloured centre caps. Also changed up the wheel spacers (now 28mm in front and 21mm in back).

Took the car out for a test drive today and got it good and dirty!

I stopped by Hairy Dog Garage and drove my new, improved, 993. The Goldenrod/SSK is a dramatic improvement. The car feels so much more refined. The Steve Wong chip wakes up the bottom half of my 1995 flat 6 with a VERY noticeable kick in the pants. The car runs beautifully and pulls smoothly from idle to redline. The Fister II exhaust sounds refined and mature. It isn't loud. It doesn't drone. It is just about perfect.

I was worried my car would shift roughly, stall at red lights, and be too loud. I could not be happier with my drive today. Can't thank Dan and Barron enough for their expertise, know how and professionalism. I'm very lucky they are close by.

Cant wait for spring!

What do you mean, "ghost photo"? Isn't that what everyone sees when they look at the back of their 993? I see it all the time.

Maybe silly question but is that 30 mins while the engine and trans are in the car? If so, pray tell how you pulled that off.

Drove it to the office for a lunch time drive through the hills but picked up a hitchhiker on the morning commute

I wasn't suggesting that you drop it for the starter. I've heard it's a super tight fit if it's in the car. I've got about 103k and I'm thinking in the next few years that it needs to be done. If it's a 30 min job, good to go.

It's a really tight job and requires the right tools that's well documented here. Took me hours. You will need to drop the trans. Curious to hear how you did it so quickly.

Noticed a tip was sagging, feared the worst but an easy fix and an opportunity to get out the barkeepers friend to put a bit of a polish on.

Ignore the garage mess

I didn't do it that fast, I was asking how it can be done that fast while the trans is in the car. Still curious as your experience seems to be the norm.

Yes, very tight job. Took me a full day. I'm curious to how this is done in 30 min while trans is still in the car as well.
