Hi Tore! I emailed you about +/-2 weeks ago, don't know if you received it or even had a chance to respond. I had to have my phone ERASED, thanks to a scammer! (As usual), you were correct again. We had a conversation about my '91,964,C4's AC. Compressor wouldn't come on, I found a circuit under the glove box unplugged, plugged it in and COINCIDENTALLY, the compressor began working.Thought I found the solution, but you pointed out my error. If you would be so kind as to reply to my general email today (9/22/24, about the first one in the 964 Forum), I would be MUCH obliged! Many thanks, carrerafourturbo, (formerly Spend911$. Another story) .

    Dear ToreB,

I read your messages in rennlist.com and find them very useful. May I have a problem about the door lock to have your kind advice.

When I lock the door of a 993 (1995) that can only lock the door on the side with the key and another side of the door lock has no response. In the central console, the door lock button cannot lock the doors. The alarm system cannot be activated when locking the door with the key. However, I can switch on and off the engine normally for driving.

May I have your kind advice about the likely problem? Fuse problem as you pointed out before exists in the control unit below the passenger seat?

By the way, I find my 964 with an air conditioning problem that will not emit cool air quite easily. I do not hear the sound or noise of the small fan behind the control unit? Is the new small fan I find in the web page in your link installed to solve the problem?

Thank you very much in advance for your kind assistance.

    Best regards,
    CK Wong

    Tore,

I am so sorry. I just called... and I think you have your personal phone number listed on the BergvillFX website.

I was wondering if/when you would be getting more T-LIGHT - PORSCHE 993 HID KIT. I sent a message through your webform... but until the call I just made I assumed it was a bigger company.

    Hope all is well.

    Best regards.

    Tore,

I came across your posts in the 993 forum. I just purchased a 1995 C4. It currently has an aftermarket Kenwood unit (XXV-01D), but I am very interested in installing a 7418. I believe my next steps are to pull it out and figure out what was done so I can order the correct wiring harness with it. Will also need to order the Porsche decals. I am sure we will communicate in the future.

    Hi Tore,

Thanks for your reply! You are correct Sir, I called TRE Motorsports who sold me the unit and they believe it's actually an H3 bulb despite what it says in their link. http://tremotorsports.com/product.cf...=11458&Photo=2

The thing is the lamp they show in the picture is not the lamps I have. If you scroll to post#11 in this thread you can see a photo of the lights I have. TRE has no idea what they are - reportedly from China and no longer available. https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...ir-inlets.html

So - assuming these are H# lamps ar ethey plug and play, or do they require retrofitting beyond my limited capabilities?

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Tore,
Quick question for you. I presently have turbo scoops with LED's, but I'm experimenting with some scoops I purchased (not in distribution) that have H4 lamps. I can email a picture to you if you like. The scoops don't fit and will need some cutting, and that got me to thinking am I really able to simply wife these to the old fog light harness or do they need more current? Would appreciate your input here. Thanks, Jim

Hi Tore, hope all is great,

First, I noticed on your site that you are now selling the "LED smart ballast" to use with LED brake lights.
I have a 1997, 993 Targa, 6 speed with CT, and the cruise control is working flawlessly with your LED brake lights, is this part necessary ? or maybe I'm missing the point here, does this mean when i'm using CT the brake light don't work properly?

secondly, I was wondering if you have by any chance a DIY on how to replace the Fuel Pressure Regulator on my model of a car.? i couldn't find anything on the web.

    Cheers, Yaron

    Hi Tore,
Need your help buddy, Im working on a 993 C2 95 (dont know if its early or late 95) anyway previous owner had a problem with the CCU and had it repaired by several techs but to no avail , he replaces it with a CCU part no 993 659 047 01. now it has a problem of the oil cooler fan cycling on and off i can here the relay ticking on and off. replaced that and still the same, also when this happens the ac compressor shuts off along with the condenser fan, i have to let it cool down then the ac will function again until the oil cooler fan stage 1 decides to kick in and cycle on and off again and it shuts down the ac comp again. ive replaced the oil temp sensor in the oil cooler as well. ballasts are ok too. changed the pressure switch for the ac as well.... now im thinking that maybe i have a compatibility issue with the CCU? maybe the old CCU 993 659 047 00 is the correct one and not the currently installed 993 659 047 01 ? pls help sir

    thanks

Did you get the order and when do you expect to ship it?

    Hi Tore,

I've looked at your website and think that with your knowledge of electronics, you might want to consider developing a plug-and-play solution to failing accelerometers on the 964 Carrera 4. They list for around $1700 per accelerometer, which is scandalous. I would think with modern accelerometers and some adaptation, you could create a solution that doesn't cost so much.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers, August West
