I cut a slit in some 1/8” silicone tubing and worked it onto the edges of the cover to prevent rubbing on the top. For the bottom I used some bar stock, drilled a hole for the mounting, and used electrical tape on the top of it to prevent it from showing and to also prevent rattling. The studs were long enough that I didn’t need to extend them, but if required, you can probably find machine threaded extensions at Lowe’s or Home Depot.

Default door

A while ago a member posted a fix for the door strap issue using some delrin rods cut into wedges and placed on either side of the strap where it does into the car....i was impressed at how simple it looked and the fact that it worked.. i messaged him to ask specifics but no reply..did anyone see this and apply? love to see some pics of what the actual wedges looked like

I got them from Design911. 3.29 British pound each - back in Jan 2021.
But also purchase a whole bunch of other stuff as well.
I think there was a 10% discount as well if purchases over a certain amount.

Follow up to my MPL clutch cylinder install; was finally able to put a few miles on the car and am very pleased. Engagement point slightly lower and I'd have to agree with their 30% effort reduction. Just makes the whole ordeal feel smoother to me.

Next stop: Numeric shifter and GR but at this point might deal with it over the winter.
