Alright... 4-5 Coats of VHT Yellow Caliper Paint are on... I'm waiting about an hour more before I put these black decals on and put a couple of coats of clear...

so far so good...

Called Darin at FD this afternoon...

After his consultation, I ordered PSS10s... should get them next week... Also ordered the stainless lines he sells... I owe him a picture since I have a midrun 95 993 where the brake line types changed... figured I'd do the 18 year old lines since I am there...

My passenger rear shock is fully blown out now and the car is **** for handling... the other three are threatening to go... all original Black Boge with SUV springs... I bought a sports car that feels like a baby buggy right now...

Time to get some stance and adjustability...

Next weekend will be my 2nd Xmas for the year...

I'm jealous John.

Are you putting then on your going through an Indy around here?

If you're doing it, I want to help. I may choose the same for the 993TT.

Oh yeah I will put them on... I have air tools, need to rent a spring compressor, at Advance Auto, like I did a couple of years ago when I did the springs/shocks on my 635CSi... this looks to be an easier job on the 993... lighter parts, coilovers and not inserts...

I've never had coil overs on a car so I'm intrigued on the adjustability... I'll keep in touch Tony and let you know what I'm doing what night... Typically like to do this over several nights, so I remain fresh...

Night 1: adjust garage, get the car up on jack stands wheels off, look around, WD40 bolts

Night 2: Complete front and see how it goes

Night 3: Complete rears

Night 4: make height adjustments

Success working on cars, take your time, don't rush...

Thanks Boman! You also had a hand in inspiring me with your Fister exhaust videos and your new stance pics...

I was reallly impressed as well how impactful yellow calipers on an all black car improve the look and design of my 993... I always knew wheels were incredible bang for the buck in impact of design, but have been impressed at how nicely painted calipers in an appropriate accented color really make a difference...

I am only able to move so fast without mistakes and wasting money because of how this community so thoroughly documents these improvements... I only stand on the shoulders of giants...

After working on several series of BMW's the 993 suspension install will be different. The fronts are just like BMW, but the rears, well, take a little more more time & effort.

Just a little tidbit, when you get there you will understand, jack up the engine a bit.
