I thought it was a unanimous conclusion that engine trays should come off. Does anyone really think the tray is a good thing for the engine?

It appears as if Porsche thought so...

My guess is more on RL have them removed than not.

Supposedly, the engine tray is a must if you drive Autobahn speeds because of the flat bottom ground effects. I heard it can really upset the car w/o it, just like the rear spoiler needs to come up at speed. Even the manual says not to try top speed w/o the spoiler.
Mine is on as I always try for high triple digits, as long as it's safely possible.
