Good updates.
Wowsers. Seems like her transformation's moving at light-speed.
I better not blink, she might be done!

Similar to Ferris' wise words...

Hi Graham,

Looking good. How will you provide side indicators if you are not using the originals?

Cheers,

David

Side indicators are not required for UK MOT since you can see the front & rear indicators flashing from the side of the car. Probably required for other EU countries, but not the UK according to our local MOT station.

So the holes got welded, along with the headlight washer jet holes, a la RS.

No point in hanging around because we need the space in the fab shop. There's another 9m64RS Clubsport to construct (which we intend to build as a 9m demonstrator - although we have no doubt that someone will buy it again before we get chance to finish it!), there's two more 9m93RS Clubsport RHD shells to prep and we have to do the finishing work on our 9m96GT3RS-R Clubsport shell (road going Cup car, essentially).

After that lot I might then get the chance to get the panels organised & do some work on my Avo Mexico Mk1 resto project......

Thanks Graham and Colin,

Mexico sounds like fun.

Graham,

Are you thinking of a turbo nose and S spoiler like in your photoshop image?

Cheers,

David

Yes I've already got a Turbo front (& rear) PU, but not the spoiler - I like to see the lower corner grilles.

At end of play today the screen deck/dashtop was done, rhs A-post, sill & Quarter finished, LHS A-post & quarter were on and the only panel left to fit was the LHS outer sill. I think Marc is planning to finish this tomorrow so that we can have it on the spit come Monday and finish off the rear bulkhead reinforcement. Should be at Surface Processing by the end of the week provided they can take it in.....

Proud to announce that the construction work on the shell is now finished, all the welds have been dressed, the build frame has been fabricated & fitted and the car is on the dolly waiting to go down to Surface Processing tomorrow morning. Here are the last shots of the new 9m93 Speedster Widebody on the start of its last journey before the repaint. Enjoy!

...and a few more of the shell rolling onto the trailer for it's final journey before the big paint job begins.

In case you don't know already, that's Marc my Business Partner on the top of the trailer, guiding the nose of the 9m93 Speedster into position. Marc is the fabrication genius who is in charge of turning Graham's (and many other's) dream car into reality.

Great pictures I can't wait to see her after the paint. The rear end shot could go into the fat a$$'s thread!

Look forward to seeing my car tomorrow - and accompanying it down to the acid dippers!
It's gestation is well underway - the butterfly will soon emerge!
