Thank you for the support Dennis!
The power bleeder showed up today so now I can get the hydraulic system flushed. Other than that just few more parts to install and then I turn the key
If all goes well, we should be up and running by the end of the week.
Cross your fingers for me.

Bob,
PHENOMENAL JOB (I'm not talking about the work you did on your car, which is magnificent in its own right...I'm talking about the work you did documenting/photographing your progress along the way). You should be able to charge people for reviewing this thread over time. I'll bet more than one "dealer technician" will wind up looking at this sequence.
Maybe you should write an article for Panorama...?
Anyway, I'm curious if and how you used the circular saw in the reinstallation...?
Wishing you the best in that first turn of the key!
(Hoping to get mine back early next week, but I gotta write a $xx,xxx check to get there)

Last night I got the hydraulics flushed. It was really no big deal. The Pro Motion power bleeder was less than perfect. Actually it was kind of lame. I got he 1 that has the universal cap/seal. I needed to modify the seal to make it work. Details forthcoming.
I had a little (read in MAJOR) panic attach last night which MarkD put to rest. Thank you again Mark!
I really can't say enough positive about the support from Darin and Mark at FD Motorsports. These guys go way beyond what anyone could expect in the area of customer support.
The circular saw was used to construct the jig for the engine. If I were to do it again I would modify the jig design. Please ask if you want details.
I haven't had any time to work on the project today or tonight (work, family stuff), but got nervous when I saw that I was bumped to page 2 here.
Tomorrow night I hope to carve out enough time to get the fluids back and start the engine. Maybe even a test drive
Again, Thanks to everyone supporting my journey!

She fired right up :)
Left work a couple of hours early and got the remaining suspension parts and fluids in including:
turned the key......
The engine turned for about 5 seconds...and then she started right up!
I ran it thru the gears up on stands w/o wheels
shifts smoothly
clutch seemed fine
the car revs much quicker
the engine seemed a little noisy at first, I think the new oil needs to work its way around the various engine components. Seemed to get quieter after about 3-5 minutes.
I think it took the brain a few seconds to figure out the lwfw, the engine was a little erratic and then settled into a nice smooth idle.
I still need to put the bumper back on and a few misc. body parts.
Test drive this weekend!
You guys can't believe how relieved I am. I know I need to get her on the ground and run her but I am well on my way...
Bob-
- cross brace
- sway bar
- misc. heat ducting
- filled the power steering reservoir
- filled the engine with oil
- lowered the car to a safe elevation on the stands
- connected the battery
turned the key......
