David-- Before getting back to 993 Speedsters (I have new pics of another!), blame Brandon for a few more diversion photos
My uncle has a 1994 Speedster Black, which has a Tiptronic transmission
One of my favorite 964 Speedsters is also a black Tip.
From the 964 Forum's "1994 Speedster Widebody" thread:

Hey - I saw that Speedster at the Nurburgring 'Old Timer' GP back in 2005!
Looks like the Friesinger 993 Speedster is now finished and up for sale

Another 993 Speedster utilizing an '89 top instead of a '94, and no Tennax fasteners or black plastic edging around the rear of the clamshell ... They must have modified the top to incorporate the '964's rear 'clip to clamshell' design to get the cleaner clamshell look and be able to use the more fitted '89 top. I like it!

A 1989 Porsche Speedster powered by a 962 drive train has come out of hiding. This car, built in the late 80′s graced the pages of several enthusiast magazines. Since that time is has kept a very low profile having covered less than 2k miles. Like many of the best things from the 80′s (A-Team, Exile on Main Street, Voltron) it has emerged from its slumber and is offered for sale.

From Flat6 Magazine "Canepa's 962 Powered Porsche Speedster" article:
In the last issue we had the ANDIAL Carrera 4 with the water cooled 962 engine and now we have another contender for the ultimate street hot-rod, a 1989 Porsche Speedster with an IMSA version of the 962 engine installed. We actually have a number of good Porsche tuners in the United States and one of these tuners is an old friend of mine Bruce Canepa, of Canepa Design in Santa Cruz, California. Canepa has just finished a 1989 Porsche Speedster that may just be the ultimate street hot rod Porsche.

From Pelican Parts Forum's "ANDIAL open house" thread:
scary fast car...
the surprise inside...
That is a Jerry Woods built 962 stuffed into the back of the car! (If more is better then too much is just right...)

Here are photos of my trip to Bruce Canepa's.
P.S. Bonus "rare rear interior" shot for Speedster addict JPP!

Jon Paul-- '89 tops on later-model Speedster consistently catch your eye & interest. Hopefully helpful:
In addition to info / pics on page two, page eleven, and page 24, etc., AFAIK, the ~15 'new' photos of the '90 Midnight Blue that will follow haven't been seen on RL yet...
RLer TechWeenie's 1977 911...
So, this car must use '89 Speedster parts, not '94 as the rear cowl fit wouldn't match, correct?
Jon Paul-- IMHO, they're '94: no 1989 snaps on cowl/ clamshell/ humps or sides of the upraised top.
For example, here's a 1990 (964 / 3.6L) with 1989 (G-model / 3.2L) Speedster clamshell. Doesn't resemble the smooth, snap-less edges of the '94 parts used on the yellow '77 above.
