FWIW: I bought a pristine RSD from a RLer, but decided against installation due to added weight. They're heavier than they look.
For my purposes, it contradicted the RS / Speedster concept of lightweight performance (just IMHO), but they're great for those who need the convenient storage space.

So, is this rear bulkhead stamping substantially different than a Cabriolet?



Your's looks the same when you look at the carpet indentations, is your's the stock Cab Bulkhead?



Also, noting the latching mechanism with small hydraulic shocks to create tension when locked down, and the cable routing up to the cross-bar from the release handle mounted to the L/H rear side panel that's out of picture in the Technik Brochure photo, but visible in your car's photo.

They started a 993 Speedster restoration in November, 2009.

Yes, I've since learned that most conversions cut the upper half of the cab bulkhead away and weld in that section from a Speedster specific replacement bulkhead to capture the clamshell attach points.

wow.... another 993 speedster... cool. (the amount of infor, pictures you have never ceases to amaze me.... thanks for posting Jager)

ps: I hear rumors about a 993 Speedy Excellence appearance..... what's the deal? Dont they know we want these articles in the U.S. as well !!!? Enough teasing already !... I want our favorite 993 speedster FRONT AND CENTER !
