Relax. I am not “sh#Ting” on NB 993s …. I own a 993! I am just saying that …at 39,000 NB total produced is not rare by any means!

I hear ya!

If this chart is correct, there are around 23,000 C2 NB coupes worldwide. Then start deducting automatics / destroyed cars.
Does anyone know the automatic to manual ratio?

I raised mine to $100 k three month ago and still think it's too light - you'd definitely want to go to at least $100 k too.

For folks with 993 Carrera 4 (NB): What agreed values are you insuring for? I'm at $60k and think it's low. 95k miles. I'm with American Modern and they denied my request to move to $90k, so now I'm shopping around.

That’s incorrect. Figures from Total 911 below:

Even in the 30k range C2s world wide, that's still pretty rare in todays world. I will hardly ever see one out on the wild, usually just Porsche Group meets.

I’m hoping someone can educate me as to why agreed value on a 993 is even necessary? There’s so many current high dollar comps readily available these days getting a better than fair replacement value shouldn’t be a problem.

Simple answer is that payment for your car in case of a total loss is pre-determined. For the incremental cost of AV value, why take the risk of getting into a legal battle with your insurance carrier after the fact?

In this unlikely event all you have to do is tell the insurance company where to mail the check - no need for comps or to prove anything - other than it was your 993 that was wrecked.

Using this logic then a C4 coupe or Targa be worth much more. 😀
