Careful there. There is a huge difference in agreed value and stated value policies. I think you are referring to an agreed value policy that covers mods.
Agreed value payout can be more or less than actual cash value (ACV is basically what the insurance company decides the car is worth).
Stated value is useful when a driver wants to take on some of the risk to avoid a higher premium. Typically stated value is *lower* than actual cash value, and the insurance policy pays either stated value or actual cash value, whichever is less.

In the event of a total loss, the insurer compensates the insured for the agreed or stipulated value, less the insureds deductible. Depreciation, is also irrelevant.

I disagree!! I tried to stay away from this subject. Agreed value insurance provides the insurer and insured stipulate the value of the vehicle in advance of the policy being written. Underwriting may require photographs of the car(s) condition, mileage, garaging, etc, prior to entertaining an agreed value policy.

I agree with everything you wrote above and do not find it counter to my comments.

This went for much more than I would have thought. Seller has excellent reputation in the P-Car market which definitely adds value.

I'd like to remind people that good condition manual C2 NB numbers are most likely less than everyone thinks.
How many are automatics? How many have been crashed? How many aren't well maintained?
I think those factors take at least 30% of the North American car numbers off the table for people who are looking for a good car.

Run of the mill . I wouldn't call any 993 run of the mill anymore.
