Thanks for the insight ... I offered $75k, c'est la vie : )
I've had several 993s, my last was a 97 cab which I loved but sold back in 2009. Since then a 997 and a couple of 991s. Got nostalgic for the 6-speed. The car drove great, it was somewhat ponderous in today's terms, of course, and a little slower than I remember my 97 being with the Varioram (and RS clutch and flywheel I had on it). It was super fun to drive, though, speed aside. Would have been a nice companion for the F-car I replaced the 991 with.

Recently Daniel Schmidt had two sub-30k 993 Midnight Blue cabs for prices in the $80s. I suspect they are gone now but I found them quite compelling.

Not my cup of tea vomit, but here is a link that worked for me. And a pic from the website.

I know cabs lag coupes but does anyone have a feel for what the top dollar on a 95 Carrera cab would be? Came super close to buying one yesterday ... 95, midnight blue, 49k miles, 6 speed, 17" Cups, heated seats, mechanically literally as good as they get (car did not have a single rattle, drove like a new one), cosmetically had a new top, original paint but some of the typical paint chip rash on the hood. Made an offer but I think someone snatched it at asking.
For your search and how much to pay it really depends on how selective you are on color and options, mileage, condition, manual VS tiptronic, etc.
Take a look at 993 results on BaT and look at the cabs that sold. Also I'd recommend searching rennlist sales and PCA sales listings and if you haven't already see if you can join your local PCA chapter and ask local members if they know of good example 993 cabs for sale in your area as sometimes they sell by word of mouth without ever being listed anywhere.
For my example in April of 2020 I bought my 95 c2 cab 6 speed manual with 60K miles for $50K from a private seller who had the car listed on PCA.
For 3 years I searched for a 95 White cab 6 speed manual c2 in condition 2 to 3 (I wanted a 95 cab with grand prix white over cashmere, 6 speed manual) and I did drive about 250 miles from my house in order to test drive it and purchase it from the private owner.
I'd estimate that my car is now worth about $70K to $80K at auction. I could be low or high on that estimate but of course the hammer price always depends on who wants what color and options on a given auction day to bid against each other
Here's some details of my 993 cab:
1995 c2 cab 63K miles (Production year 1994)
Grand Prix white over Cashmere (tan)
Condition 2 to 3 (interior is almost perfect with very little wear marks on the leather, exterior has very few paint road chips, wheels have no scuff marks, regularly detailed, waxed, garaged indoors, covered, never driven in rain, never tracked regular maintenance, etc.)
6 speed manual
17" original Cup2 wheels
3 year old tires with 13K miles on them (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires)
Both front seats are eight way power seats
The black convertible top with rear plastic window and tonneau cover are all in excellent condition with no holes and very minor fading and are sealed with protectants.
Alpine USB/Bluetooth stereo head unit.
Original Porsche Hifi speakers and amp
air conditioner works and blows cold air
heat works and blows hot air
Two previous owners
No accidents or damage ever
Mileage is accurate with no documented odometer breaks or repairs.
Everything works and runs perfectly
Prior to my purchase the previous 2nd owner in 2019 spent $8k in suspension (struts, springs) brakes, and engine maintenance.
Since I bought it in 2020 I've driven about 3K miles and spent about $5K on a few purchases and maintenance for it and some hours of my own labor into it.
And here's some notable things from my VIN and Frunk sticker that you might think about as you look at 993 cabs to see what some of the options mean.
032 Touring suspension
288 Headlamp washer
335 Automatic seat belt, 3-point, rear
398 Cup wheel, 17-inch
437 Comfort seat, left, electrically adjustable
438 Comfort seat, right, electrically adjustable
439 Electrical hood operation
454 Automatic speed control
480 6-speed manual transmission
490 Sound package
534 Theft security system
562 Airbag, driver's side and front passenger's side
566 Front fog lights, white
567 Windscreen tinted, upper part darker coloured
573 Air conditioner
602 Center high-mounted stop lamp
657 Power steering
685 Rear seats, split
975 Luggage compartment lining with velour carpet
XD4 Wheel caps with colored Porsche crest
Anyway, best wishes on your search for a 993 cab. They are wonderful to drive!

Well let's see if it sells. The market will speak and it will be interesting to see the final outcome. I would be embarrassed driving this thing, but that's just me. For anyone else who likes it, enjoy in good health (and depleted pocket$).

It would be convenient if all cars had a sold for price listing like houses do. Anyone know of any resource that would show car sold prices?

There was a Zenith over Grey 1996 C2 for sale at a dealer couple miles from me back in 2003 when I bought mine. It was a stunning car, I love ZB, great color. Unfortunately it was a roadside dealer that was there for maybe 18 months and they knew nothing about the car. No records at all had a mysterious button added in on the carpet in front of the shifter that they had no clue about either. I passed as it concerned me to get no info. Great color though
