It's very clean, purchased from Nathan Merz who's very prevalent in the Porsche Community. I'd say it's a 2 on the scale, 1 being show room.
Fantastic! I love Nathan, I always watch the videos of him talking about old Porsches on YouTube. I'm sure its in excellent condition. Enjoy your 993 in good health.
@neineinthree love to see pics of this Nathan car . When did you buy it?
I purchased it in 2020. Nathan obviously is one of the most knowledgeable Porsche guys out there. It's great knowing this vehicle was one that he personally looked over and vetted. During the purchase process he was always available to chat about the car, I never saw the vehicle in person but with his reputation and the photos he sent I knew it was a good investment.
Not too long after it was purchased, after a wax and seal. Current state with KW Coil overs, Fister Stage 2 Mufflers, Golden Rod, and Fister Short Shift Kit, and RS Style motor mounts.
To my 993, but not to Porsche. I've had a good long run with this one, but the reality of my 80th birthday and two bad knees dictates a two-pedal car, so I'll be listing my much loved 993 on BaT, probably going live in the next few days. I'll be sad to see this one go--even when I don't drive it, it makes me happy to see it in my garage. In my 50-plus years of PCA and Porsches, this one is my over the moon favorite.
Say it ain’t so, Bobby. Thank you for your contributions over the years. Do pop by this forum once in a while to check in

Amazing - and I’m sure there are many great stories in there. Can only hope I make it to 80, let alone driving a 3 pedal 993 at that age…! All the best and we’ll be looking for your 90th and 100th birthday posts! Stay in great health.

beautiful 993! Obviously you were a great caretaker of it and I'm sure whomever wins the auction will appreciate all the care you gave your 993. I bought my 993 from a good lineage of great caretaking by the two previous owners and was very glad for that history of the car! It made it all the more special to me when I bought it! GLWTA! Will look forward to seeing it on BaT.
Thanks for the comments! I'm truly blessed with good health, and now back with wife's family (four sisters, all five born in five years) where we have all come to circle the wagons and help each other. Three of us now live in the same community (Rose Creek Golf Club) within a mile of each other, one more across the street, and one about ten miles away in Yukon. All great people and good cooks, so my challenge is to stay slim.
Of course my other family has been Porsche, and I'll be on the lookout for a two-pedal car while maintaining the wonderful friendships around the US and the world that love of these cars engenders.
911F- I had asked this same question many years ago but never received a definitive answer. I believe @cobalt had said that the rubbery beige color coating under the front belly pan is NLA? Maybe he’ll chime in…. Btw, pics of my car are heavily photoshopped
Sorry this heat wave has kept me poolside so I haven't been paying attention.
Wurth discontinued the original color undercoating years ago. My good friend Charles L horeded a number of bottles of the original stuff when they discontinued it. We have been able to mix the tan and black IIRC still offered to get the desired color but it needs to be sprayed on using a special expensive gun. I am lucky to have friends in the business to have one available.
@NeinNeinThree Congrats. Nathan is one of the more knowledgeable Porsche guys I know and his cars are always top notch. We are lucky as a community to have him. You are lucky to have one of his cars.
I have no good pics to show the color. Although I touched up the front edge of this car which had some scrapes and as you can see with a lot of mixing we have a perfect match.
