Not sure why there's another redundant thread about prices going down, but this thread is far more appropriate.

That C2S sold in 1 day in the $165k range.

I know the buyer very well (personal friend) and he's a dealer for all those wondering about price trends.

1 day isn't exactly accurate. Promotion starts well in advance of the formal listing going up, so potential buyers have the opportunity to consider, ask questions, cut a deal. I believe the 1 day statement is from time formal listing goes up. Unfortunately we don't know actual sold price to really use this data. Tarek does move a lot of 993s, astounded at his sourcing ability, one after another.

It is interesting how places like Sloan and Holt don't seem to have many come through in recent months. My understanding is they go after a different level of car but maybe don't have the network anymore.

Is he planning to resell in time?

No, the car is currently en route and at this time he plans to keep in his personal inventory. He's actually excited to get as we all would be.

Could you PM me the dealer? Not necessarily in the market at the moment, but pondering moves and it's always nice to have a list of dealers to contact when the time comes.

I contacted the dealer and he doesn't want his information disclosed at this time.

Ok... if it was 2-3 days, does that even change the narrative? Highly doubt in the short time (essentially immediate) it took to sell and Tarek being a dealer that the price would move from the listed $165k. Not sure what you're trying to pick out.

The white C2S tarek had was an astounding example, the blue interior on glacier white is so “period” i knew that car wouldn’t last, and i think he priced it $10k below what other dealers would have listed it for.

He First showed the car Saturday on his Instagram, officially listed it Tuesday and had it sold Wednesday , i do agree this trend isn’t prevalent with other dealers, but seems like Tarek is getting more wide body cars than anyone out there which is impressive for the size of his business, and he consistently sells the cars within hours or a day or 2 of listing . Reason being in my opinion, he gets good sorted cars, his reputation, prices cars rite and the detailed ads he makes.

Fascinating. Dealer paying full retail to buy, albeit, a fine specimen from another dealer.
If someone who makes a living out of this is willing to pay that price, it's a vote of confidence on air-cooled prices remaining strong into the foreseeable future.

Just facts if it's to be used as a data point. I was recently interested in sold data for insurance purposes, quoting asking prices is not the same as sold prices from a valuation perspective. Assuming it sold for $165k doesn't mean it sold for $165k.

My comments have nothing to do with Tarek, just speaking to the facts.
