The ask is near $300k for this one. Phew!
The above Ocean Blue Metallic '98 Carrera C2S offered at Canepa Motorsports is a rare 911 . . . so is the ask $.

My very own '98 Carrera C2S is with the Canepa Pros for a thorough "preservation" once over; Engine out, suspension, interior carpet refresh, added leather, yet another F-K ing windshield, the works! ,,, Sans any paintwork as the original finish is excellent.. .. Perfection takes time,,, and when it's ready, it will be ready. .. Can't wait.

I like that the driver's seat, steering wheel, shifter and key wrap around look as you would expect at 2K miles - not scratched up/worn.

Do you mind sharing costs and high level work being done? Can PM if not public.

I ask as I have a 930 that has had a full exterior glass out refurb done by Porsche dealer along with major mechanicals done. I did an entire fuel system replacement last year as preventative measure (and it feels like an improvement but maybe in my head only?). The interior was untouched and could use new dash and visible screws and bolts replace, perhaps a few other small pieces. Seats seem good and would want to retain as it is the original sport fabric (no idea if still produced). Curious what a project like this would cost, to keep it as OE as possible.

Sweet!

I like red interiors and have a car with one. but that red seems searing and could use some more deviation. I'm guessing some of it is the photos taken.

Curious to see the final on it.

It's one of the lowest mileage 993TTs I have seen, that's going to be in the high 6 figures, surely.

Yeah, that one will be pushing $750k+. Would still rather get this WLS2 for 1/3 of the price. Pretty much a Turbo S except for the X79 side air inlets.

100%, plus with 80k km+ it's a specimen you can actually drive. That TTs will never see any significant mileage, obviously. It'll sit around in an air-cooled warehouse until the end of time. All good, there are driving cars and there are investment cars.

I get why it costs that much, rare color, low miles, plus the Canepa treatment. Still hard to justify when it's super nice 933TT money.

Canepa always has exemplary stuff, but they also always seem to charge 1.5x high retail. In that way, they are the spiritual forerunners/granddaddy-of-em-all to the Ryan Friedmans and Grand Prix Motors of the world. Whether it's worth paying that steep of a markup is obviously a matter personal choice and taste...

I bought my C4S in OBM from Grand Prix Motors about 6 months ago, and while the car was nowhere near as OEM-perfect as one can expect from Canepa, it also cost me less than half and was pretty damn mint. So... different strokes ... folks... blah blah. At the end of the day, we're just chasing being little boys again.

I'm never fully trusting of Facebook Marketplace ads, but it appears these cars are WAY cheaper in Europe...

Both of your examples are RHD cars in England on Facebook. They're not really indicative of European pricing writ large. Check out what you find on legit auto sales websites like Mobile.de or Elferspot instead of FB. You'll see that cars in Europe have mostly caught up to, or even surpassed, US prices, especially when you consider importation costs, customs duties and then the costs associated with registering the car in the US. Don't get me wrong, you can still find great deals, but it's not WAY cheaper. It's not a slam dunk by any means. There is no free lunch...
