How much would that same car be if it had a non-Tan interior, Sport Seats, and was a 2S?

It seems like there is a lot of ideology regarding a 993 s and 993 4s.
I own a 993 4s and have driven my friends 993 2s.

My be it's personal but I prefer the 4s.
I know that there is a 15 % to 20 % difference in value which, to me, is unjustified by technical standards and driveability.
There is only the production numbers of each.

I agree 100% since the C2S is nothing but a regular old C2 on a WB shell … hell … it doesn’t even come with LSD!

A C4S is nothing but a regular old C2 on a WB Shell... but with a useless, heavy front differential that only transmits 5% power and an over complicated ABS.

I doubt that anyone can discern a difference in how they drive in most normal driving circumstances.

At the end of the day, production numbers tell the final story.

Did I miss anything?

yeah ya did.. that a C4S was also modeled off the Turbo with Big Reds Brakes & Rotors from the Turbo, 18” Turbo Twist Wheels unlike the puny 17” ones standard on the C2S, standard w/LSD, M030 Suspension… and last to roll off the 993 Production line NA for Jerry Seinfeld.

How many C2S cars have you seen that DON'T have 18" Turbo Twists? Also, technology package. Also, #220 LSD package. Also, PSS10s > old M030 junk.

Big Reds are big heavy. If more unsprung weight is your thing, pretty easy to swap brakes... a lot easier to swap brakes than remove a front diff and a driveshaft that cuts through the car's flat bottom. Also easier to swap brakes than change production numbers

Replys are the best indicator for ideology, I don't want to get political, but from a German perspective it sounds like fire and ice or democrazy vs autocraty.
No one can 'win' here.
Both are great cars and possibly the best 911 ever built.

obviously we're all talking our own book, so can i attempt a humorous NB jab too??? yep, NBs are the best...

my NB has LSD and (as we learned from bill v. recently in another thread) the outside diameter of the tires is the most important
factor of getting torque to the road, followed by unsprung weight, both of which are to the advantage of the small, original, 16" wheels
on the 95.

but, yeah, obviously your Ss are much more valuable, just not as fast. :P

I'd take my chances against an NB in the curves. Driver + Suspension = WIN
