Followed by Tarek’s 97 which seems he underpriced at $136. Pcar market results I’d take with a grain of salt they are known for deals falling through. Btw just to add regarding pcar sales I personally know of 2 deals that never sold but are claimed as sold on there
Funny story, that C4S was formerly mine! I almost bought a 97 C4S in Polar Silver that Tarek had listed a couple weeks ago for $105,993; only to have it sell out from under me the same day I emailed Tarek to pull the trigger on it. These go *FAST*.
However, from that interaction Tarek had my ph# and email. When he took in the C4S from the owner I ended up selling to, he looked through the service paperwork that I had done at my local shop, found my #, and realized it was me! We were able to connect that way and I was able to provide him with much more detailed paperwork than the PO gave him. Tarek is super thorough and does proper due diligence on his cars it seems, and I trust him and his listings 100x more after the convo.
I sold it in early early 2020 for around $110k iirc. Damn! I would have bought this back, because I was regretting letting go of my 993. Insane how much prices went up. However, literally 2 days before I discovered this, I found myself a 1998 C2S.
To add a datapoint to this thread - the 1998 C2S was a 2 owner, 72k mile specimen. black/black manual coupe, turbo twists, nokia hifi, supple leather, aluminum shift/brake, aluminum white/silver gauge dials, motor sound pkg, sport chassis option (not ROW height). 100% original, no modifications. Even had the CR210 tape deck and cassette holder in the rear center divider. In good to excellent shape for its age and miles, no accidents, body and paint original (with a small scuff on the front bumper corner). Left turn signal doesn't self cancel, and there's a small crack in the cooling fan blade. Car doesn't start and just cranks if I leave the ignition on "ON" for more than 45 seconds or so, but turning it off, back on, and cranking fires it right up. Runs good, drives great and feels tight. Took the car for $99k.
Whoever bought my former C4S from Tarek got a hell of a nice specimen. It was already a pretty strong specimen to begin with, but I took care of *everything*. I seem to have this terrible habit where I buy a 7.5/10 car, make it a 9.5/10 car, then sell it cheap for someone else to enjoy it.....
Even flippers out in full force. Anyone know this William wollet strange guy? He’s a flipper posting ads on PCA trying to low ball people, didn’t know PCA allows known flippers to post. I’ve seen this guy all over pelican

Thanks man, that was quite the crazy coincidence lol ..and appreciate you being a cool PO and your willingness to send over records & information about the car since the owner i got it from only had it a very short time. BTW i was able to track down records back to 2005 from when it was serviced in parkhouse in naples FL..took some detective work but got it done! Enjoy your new C2S & KIT

i especially like this part:
"Can travel to see, prefer PCA members, no dealers."
"Whoever keeps flagging this ad, has been reported...."
a flipper who doesn't want to deal with dealers and he has reported the people who have reported him and his ad.

I have no idea how tarek is getting all these wide body cars, I follow on Instagram and met a few times at cars & coffee, this is mind boggling, I’ve counted 5 or 6 in the past month and he sells them all within a couple of hours of listing ! He just listed this 18k mile one, I’d have to mortgage the house now get a 993C4S

Solid network built over time? Keeping track of owners and their cars? A willingness to pay the right price on the spot? Research?
I agree ^ I would guess people seek him out. If you're known as someone that's trustworthy and able to connect sellers with buyers I think a good route if you don't want to take your chances with one of the auction sites. (and wait quite a while for it to go live)

i wrote the same comment on his IG account. i said i just can't imagine how he continues to find 964/993s at prices that he can than market. his network at this point must be impressive.
