No matter how much tech or power a car has, it's really hard to overcome the effects of weight. Agree that general public doesn't care - doesn't perceive/understand is a more accurate description. I feel once you get past the ~3200-3300 pound mark, handling/steering change a lot.

Case in point. Car enthusiasts don't even care. It's a good deal after all. 65k for 500hp or whatever it is. Nevermind that the ND Miata is a better sports car
BTW the ZF 8 speed is plenty adequate and in fact better than the Porsche automatic everywhere except the racetrack

I have a family member that had one with a manual and was not overly impressed. The vehicle is now gone and a 992 is set to replace it.
Totally agree re the DCT vs ZF 8 speed auto as well as iDrive 8 - on. It is a horrible design, aesthetically.

I'm not a BMW guy. I prefer Audi and went with the RS3 as a daily. That thing is a beast. 5 cylinder, DCT and AWD. Interior is a bit cheap for the price, but that's all in the performance and engine.

I'm actually about to trade my Turbo Blue one in for a Glacier White. I bought the turbo blue which was offered to me by the dealer so had no color choice. After two years of driving it, I realized this thing is a keeper and I'd rather have it in a color I would prefer. Fun fact, Turbo Blue is Shark Blue. My Porsche SA told me he picked up touch up paint for Shark Blue and apparently it was the same for Turbo Blue.

That tach is an abomination. Why couldn't they improve the fonts to be more traditional to 911s of years/decades past? Why not include different customizable options on appearance of past 911 tachometers? Major miss with the font on this, along with everything else. Had to just be cost savings with Cayenne. Pathetic.

And… Shark Blue is/was VW Cornflower Blue. They share the same paint code, D5C.

Apparently they just updated the configurator. You can now get deviated stitching in black. But it is only available on black interiors.
