Unfortunately, I don't have more than this for now.

I just find it pretty incredible that Porsche would eliminate the Manual option on the Base, S and GTS trims!

Seems like BMW is truly the last holdout from Germany offering Manual on M2, M3, M4 and Z4.

I got a loaner EV BMW i4 today while the X3 was in for service and its basically a Tesla with BMW body, no soul or character.

I don't think there would be a way have a manual transmission work with the hybrid system. The car needs to control the electric motor and transmission together to deliver power in a seamless manner.

Not really! I’ve never once felt that way in nearly 30 years of manual ownership.

Spoke with the general manager at my dealership today, he mentioned that they had a meeting today and indicated that there for sure will be a T with manual transmission but timing is unknown.

Best guess would be the last two model years of the 992.2.

But there’s never been a 911 T cab or Targa.

Base model i4 or any base model BMWs haven’t had character for a long time. i4 M50 is really nice. Made me a believer in BMW again after having given up on them for the past 20 or so years. To me the i4 M50 reminds me of the best from the brand from the 80s and 90s. Other than the M2 and i4 M50 I have no interest in their cars currently.

Agree about the M2. Looks nice. Two things I dislike: front ends on M3 and M4 and Porsche 992 Braun shifter - mega design failures.

I believe Porsche will adjust their plans and will offer special editions with MT on 992.1 set up with the 3.0 L engine
911 T
911 T/S extra horse power , the 992.2 base has the Turbo from current GTS , so they can go up to 473 with MT
etc

Then surely you will think the same about the coming generations of AWD hybrid 911s. They're probably going to weigh close to the same. The current Turbos S is already a piggy but people forgive it because of the performance. The same will hold true about the upcoming hybrid GTS. The same will hold true for every car that is heavier and faster. The weight of a vehicle is not on the mind of 90% of this forum much less the general public
