is that I have absolutely no buyer's remorse with my 992.1. 😆 I hate the tach, the starter button, the active aero, the taillights, and the wheels on the new car. This is the first time that the .2 variant has looked worse than the .1 variant that I recall. Bad for Porsche, good for me. Ha.

You forgot the removal of the DRLs from the front bumper, the really odd 'shelf' at the Porsche text on the back, the not quite paired but oddly too close together exhaust, and the current lack of the MT.

My 23 992.1 C2 GTS 7MT may be a keeper for many years now.

Not saying that the new 992.2 isn't a good car, but if I was bound to an automatic, there are many other cars that I would consider. No stick, no deal. YMMV, ATMO, etc.

My thoughts.
Also, since Porsche updates the chassis/design on their .1 models while carrying over the engine from the previous .2 model, and introduces the brand new engine on their .2 model, I prefer purchasing the .1 models simply because I don't like beta engines. I think .1 offer the best of both worlds - new design and proven engine.
- I actually like the gills on the 992.2 GTS
- However, I don't like the tail lights on the 992.2... looks like it came from P SUVs
- Push to Start button.... it looks bolted on cost cutting measure, and I'm disappointed that they ruined the heritage
- Digital meter... same as above, it gives it a video gaming experience. I like mechanical watches, I like the blue meters on the McIntosh audio - why ruin the heritage which is so important for the 911
- No manual (at this point)... might as well get a Taycan. For example, I like the experience of manually focusing on Leica, listening to vinyl, or making espresso on a manual La Marzocco machine, so manual shifting is a must experience for me on a 911
- Hybrid or anything "e-" evolve quickly and therefore depreciate quickly (look at Taycan). It has a risk of reducing the 911 to disposable models which is sad to me.
