Agreed! The hot idle difference is similar to having the stock PSE valve closed vs opened. With the Cargraphic controller valve opened, it is just slightly louder than PSE valve open with a deeper tone. The big difference comes when driving.

Well, then we need some drive-by vids? Lol. I imagine the biggest difference is reality low RPM driving, like driving through, then exiting from a car show parking lot.

I’ll see what I can do this weekend!

Just finished installed the module. It makes a HUGE difference in sound and I highly recommend it. Shout to @TPLSM3 for the video tutorial. One key thing to remember, as others have pointed out, is that the gray locking clip needs to not only be pull out, but then needs to be pressed in to release the plug.

Also, while taking the car out for a quick joyride, I got a message saying "reduced engine power, driving permitted, visit workshop". I promptly pulled over and turned the car off and powered it back on. I did not have this issue again for the rest of the ~10 minutes of driving. Has this happened to anyone else? I was toggling the valve controller on and off quite a bit. Could that have caused this message to appear?

One potential cause - I didn't fully tighten coolant cap, it was about a half turn too loose. Not sure if this had anything to do with it

About 2 days after my install of the control unit I had a single startup that I received an error message on similar to what you are describing. As happened to you, a restart of the car cleared it and it hasn't come back (it has been weeks).

I actually had the same thing happen shortly after installation of my Akrapovic slip-on. I wonder if it is a function of the car adapting to the change.

I wonder whether it might be advisable to put the car back to "OEM controlled" mode prior to parking and turning it off. That way, the car starts and stops in oem mode and that might avoid any error messages.

I suppose that is possible, but I haven't gone out of my way to do that and I haven't had a single problem in the weeks since my install (aside from the one early-on startup mentioned previously).

Drove it quite a bit with no issues. Hopefully it was a one off thing

No issues here either. Valves are almost always in the fully open position even when shutting off the vehicle and restarting.

FYI - Soul are working on a valve delete for the carrera similar to what they sell for the GT3. No word on timing. It's nice to have options.

You mean the one that plugs in to the harness, and stays open 100% of the time? I think the Cargraphic is a much better option; where you can change it on the fly.
