It’s not snake oil, it’s legit.

@EZ E and I got to hear it in person on @22992 ‘s car on Thursday night.

I would 100% do this mod over a valved, full exhaust, like the Akrapovic, etc. Because even with a full exhaust, that extra noise you’re looking for in the lower RPMs is stilled silenced by the factory valves.

We have a video on our website here: https://flat6motorsports.com/product...l-unit-718-gt4

EDIT ^ Apologies, I thought this was related to the 718. We have some inventory heading in from Cargraphic. We plan to shoot an install video in the next 1-2 weeks.

The factory valves close between roughly 1K rpm and 4K rpm (even with PSE on) so this change of always open (or the option of it) makes a pretty big difference in sound/experience.

I'm being 100% serious when I say that everyone even the least bit unhappy with the exhaust should get this controller. It may save you thousands of dollars. But in addition, It's the only way to maintain stock functionality AND get the low RPM loudness that is missing for the experience. You may want to change the note and get even more character from the exhaust by going with an aftermarket system, but you won't be wasting your money as the controller will increase the desirability and character of aftermarket valved systems as well.

This is great to hear! I LOVE my Cargraphic controller on my CGTS4.0 but that's a NA engine with OAP pipes. I'm hoping this controller satisfies my desires for an exhaust note, especially at lower RPM. Up high, I'm sure it screams anyway.

It seems to me that the Porsche sport exhaust mufflers are very good once uncorked.

I'm interested in this. Can someone educate me on the PSE switch function at that point? Or is it basically a four mode exhaust:

PSE Off / cargraphic closed - quietest
PSE OFF / cargraphic open - not sure why youd want this
PSE on / Cargraphic closed - factory mode (closed 1-4k?)
PSE on / Cargraphic open - what we want

That would be great! I bet it will create a lot of interest and business for you.

After installing my controller with Akrapovic a few weeks ago, I helped a friend install it on his Carrera 4 (non-S) with PSE a few days back.

It was NOT a subtle change to idle and low-RPM sound on his car. It sounds so much deeper. This is really a high bang-for-your-buck mod for these cars.

Are you guys based in the US without OPF/GPF?

anyone with OPF/GPF cars and installed this with the stock PSE? Wonder whether the difference is as big as mentioned here

US cars have GPF but they are not monitored because they are not required. But they are there unfortunately. That's why on the 718 4.0 motors we can remove them and the difference in sound is HUGE. But on the 992 they are part of the cats as I understand it, so it's a much more expensive mod.

I don’t think USA models have GPF.

I think the material is inside of them. It's just not functional or at least not monitored. Here are the ones from the 718

it’s very hard to pick up. With all the noise in the cabin and crappy mobile microphone. Honestly most of the aftermarket exhausts I hear I can’t tell the difference via video. Maybe Flat 6 can put something better together, but my attempts just sound like wind and tire noise.
