Your dealership has Kool-Aid? Lucky. Mine only ever has water and coffee.

I don’t see too many GT4s more expensive than a 911 GTS.

The GT S is basically an option package. If you don’t value what’s in the package then it’s not for you. Just like leather, special paint etc. I think the package is worth it for me personally. Others, not. The end

I'm in the same boat as Papa-p but $20k doesn't put it "out of budget" it just puts it in a range that doesn't feel right for the value. Not everyone deciding on S vs GTS is purely limited by the exact price point.

I like Nick and find his comments valuable. Not sure why everyone hates on him so much. Maybe he makes a mistake here or there I don't know but who doesn't make mistakes in life? We are all a community that loves Porsches we should be more supportive of one another. I'm sure chance6 makes mistakes in real life once in a while no need to hate on others.

I think it's great to discuss objective metrics of S vs GTS for the community but sometimes the comments I read are so oddly condescending assuming others make decisions purely based on how much they have etc which likely isn't even true

In the exact same way every 911 variant, from base to turbo-S is an “options package”.

^ Huh? I've never heard of any "peer pressure" to watch that show. I watched it because my brother recommended it, and except for the last season, it was brilliant

It’s very strange. I wonder if he also spends time on GoT forums, raging about the show and his commitment to not watching it.

Nick Murray really touches a nerve, particularly among the ultra-insecure “the only reason you don’t have my car is because you can’t afford it” crowd.

Dead on point. Unfortunately many GTS owners see their car as GT-lite rather than the S+ (or base++) it is.

Best post in the thread! Yes, why pay for options that one isn’t interested in, or will never notice….but if one is so inclined, then get it.

100% the GTS is an option package. I started configuring an S and by the time I was done was within a rounding error of a GTS, plus I like the GTS wheels and the GTS interior package, and it claims a small increase in power. Would a highly optioned S be similar and a little less money? Sure, but it's my car and that's how I wanted it.

^ Yeah, I mean, I agree that I find it odd that a few of the people who are defenders of the GTS continue to rest their case on this ridiculous argument that "if you don't like the GTS, it means you can't afford it"

Totally agree. It’s an absurd position, at the very least. The price difference is what, around $20K? Chump change to most Porsche 992 owners….especially when we have a lot of folks who already decided to pay more than this in their ADM “initiation” fee to become a club member. 😎

The real reason, as stated above…and per Nick Murray’s videos….for many of us, we didn’t want some of the options (such as center lock wheels) that come with the GTS…so why pay for them, when you can get (essentially) the same car that is tailored just the way you want, and most likely, for less money. Makes perfect sense…so, IMO, Nick Murray has been right all along, when he says that the s is at the “sweet spot”.

I know. I made an attempt at an unemotional assessment back in post #376. My apologies. I agree on allocations. You get what you get pretty much these days, take it or leave it.

I’d remove the GTS stickers, replace the black CLW with something a little less Fast & Furious , duct tape over the puddle lights and call it good.
