992.2 April 2024 Release
#1006
Lieberman has been spouting off that information about what would and would not be mild hybrid for sometime. What you have stated is no different than what he has previously stated. It is still speculation.
Edit: I still believe that we are going to see the .2 debut in Q1 2024. Production will slowly begin sometime in Q2. Official launch could occur early/mid Q3.

Well "landed Q4" seems obvious if the production change over follows past model years and occurs end of August.
Build the car and delivering it 60 days later is Q4
Also and I think i mentioned this previosuly but my dealer was advised by his regional not expect any further .1 S allocations.
He didnt say anything about other variants but at least for his dealership, the S is done.

In the German forum, someone got the information from the dealer that the GTS will come first and that the GTS will not be a hybrid. That would make sense insofar as Porsche is currently struggling with problems with hybridization (probably the reason for the postponement of the 992.2). And if they deliver the GTS first, then they gain time and it can also keep a manual gearbox. We will see.

GTS is the most powerful Carrera. It will be a hybrid.
The real question is how Porsche will implement manual transmission with hybrid. Or it will use this excuse to ditch the 3 pedal.

To date he’s stated that the 992.2debut is in April, all models will be hybrid except base and GT cars, and that a Safari option will be offered on multiple trim levels. We should know who was right and who was wrong by this time next year. Don’t worry, I keep receipts.

LMAO, Lieberman is the most well connected out of all of them, as the other SCR hosts have readily acknowledged on the show. He’s been invited by Porsche to check out the GT3R Rennsport (confirmed eight more months of 992.1 production), go to Germany to drive the first Porsche ever sold, drive test mules including the Dakar a couple of years ago, etc. I don’t agree with a lot of his opinions but to say that he’s not well connected is ludicrous.

BINGO! Lieberman seems to blow a good bit of smoke out his @ss.
Edit: Spike is the one that recently spit out the Q4 timeline. He stated that he could not divulge whom told him. FYI, Spike and Seinfeld, both have Preuninger‘s direct contact info and appear to speak with him more often than not. Lieberman stated that the S and above will have mild hybridization AND… he is also now stating that the .2 GT3s will be mild hybrid too.
If anyone desires to hear this tidbit for themselves it begins at 32 minutes and 32 seconds on the most recent episode of Spike’s Car Radio, “Yams or Fams?” https://open.spotify.com/episode/2RW...REax1PhnV2VJ7w

At least according to what people say here, then for the first time the 911 model changeover/production start will commence before the historic August date.I guess anything is possible but what would be the rationale for this?
