Red face Lets be honest, the 992 is a tad boring

I have to say the car is too refined, I wish it felt more mechanical when toodling around town in the same way my 996c4s does, unless you are mashing the gas the 992 feels like a 3 series bmw, anyone else agree?

The driver makes the car, not the other way around.

After driving the C2S and Turbo S around Barber, I can attest to the reality that the car is supremely competent. Is that a problem? Go to youtube and view the monumental fails with drivers that were far less capable than their cars. The 911 is so good it makes we average drivers appear heroic.

Have you actually back to back driven a 992 and a 3 series?

No BMW feels like a 992. I have an M2 and it’s a fun car, but my previous 992C2s had way more tactile feedback and control.

^This

I had an M4cs before my 992. The 992 is leaps and bounds above it in terms of sportiness, feel and engagement. And the M4cs was a hell of a good car, the best ///M car I’ve owned in 20 years of ///M car ownership.

Different era. My 993 makes a 996 feel like a BMW. 😉

Hydraulic steering is hard to beat when it comes to liveliness.

I feel like I’m just in a Jetta all the time.

Let's be honest. These water cooled 911s are all too boring compared to a 901. I'll even stretch to a G series. Anything since just isn't quite the same.

Sell and buy a 3. It’ll be money better spent in your case.

I own a 3 series and owned my 992 and they don’t feel at all alike.

But I will give BMW credit on one thing: they don’t have rev limiters.
