...It needs to be louder, way louder...Sport +, Manual shifting and windows down is good...
Yes on all 4 points. For more driver engagement, the OP might try winter driving. Summer cruising just doesn't have the same level of excitement as snow on the ground, even in a 4S. If you ticked the heated steering wheel, you can even put the windows down.
Maybe you're not pushing the car. My GTS could easily be a daily-driver, but it has another personality when I drive it hard. The car is better than me in all ways, and leaves as much fun as I'm willing to have. Have you tried an instructed track day? Sounds like you need to find the limits of your car, and I think you'll be surprised to find just how far that limit really is.
Ummm, take your car to a lead/follow event at a track. Your local Porsche club will probably even put a volunteer in the passenger seat to help you. You'll never think your car is boring ever again.
I get where you're coming from but tad boring to me means highly competent. The first thing I noticed about my 992 was the prodigious rear grip and outstanding, surefooted handling that felt eons better than my M3. The insane grip makes me not want to ever buy any other RWD/front engine car. Does it make it less of a hooligan than the M3? Sure. Also, I do feel that the 992 could have more drama as the stock PSE is way too quiet in any mode even after thousands of miles of break in. The manual shifter also feels far too smooth and refined and I would prefer a notchier shifter with a more positive, direct, clicky engagement feel. But these are minor quibbles that can easily be fixed with aftermarket products. The one magic trick that a 911 does that can never be duplicated by any other RWD cars is, again, that insane rear engine aided grip, which is amazing and never boring.
I took my 66 911 period hot rod out for a 400 mile run last WE and I thought it makes my 964 feel slightly sluggish. I never driven a water cooled 911. Will find out soon...
I drive to our “work from home” office only so I can drive my RWD GTS with MT. I have a huge smile on my face the whole time, and have managed to scare myself just a little bit a couple of times. Find the limit and it’s a blast!
I have to say the car is too refined, I wish it felt more mechanical when toodling around town in the same way my 996c4s does, unless you are mashing the gas the 992 feels like a 3 series bmw, anyone else agree?

I don’t know about you guys but every time I get in the car my heart races. Driving this 911 992 is a thrill for me too. It’s not my first sports car but first Porsche. We are blessed to be able to enjoy this level of luxury. We should grateful for the health and blessing to be able to drive these cars. Just my 2 cents.
In my opinion if a car is obnoxiously loud it better be either a race car or super fast exotic.
I’m not sure a 911 could ever be obnoxiously loud, even if straight piped. Pay attention to the Lambos obnoxiously over-reviving causing your ears to bleed pulling into the local C&C..now that is obnoxiously loud. Plus, choice is good. Nothing wrong with adding a “long push” of the exhaust button to force flaps open at all times.
Boring is a matter of what you do with your car. If you're going worry about getting dirty and only take it only short trips to Cars & Coffee, sure, boring AF.
I put more than 35k miles on my 2020 992C4S before I traded it in. I took that car on epic adventures and beat on it relentlessly. I drove it in the desert, drifted it through unplowed snow, and pitched it sideways on many occasions. Heck, I ate Chick Fil A and Taco Bell in it. After all that, it still looked like new, because a Porsche is not some fragile thing. I am happy that its new owner is a RennLister and approaching the car the same way that I did.
If you really want to enjoy your 992, drive like you would a beater. It's spectacular when you get past the fantasy nonsense and enjoy it as it is meant to be experienced... driven hard and relentlessly. That's when it makes the happy sounds. It's when everything about the car makes sense.
Boring? Nope.

Reason: Grammar errors from my enthusiasm
992 GT3 is also boring compared to older models. they really are just at the point of feeling like "another fast car" and not that special.
competent? immensely. performance? objectively better in every way. experience? meh.
i had a 992 GT3 for a week and didn't find myself really that bothered about driving it. don't get me wrong. i would take one. i'd buy one at MSRP. but given the choice of one or the other, i would pick my car every single time.
