Lets be honest, the 992 is a tad boring

If toilet paper isn’t available… it’s the sock to the rescue…. That’s for for shart, a drippy nose is just a sleeve away from being wiped

Did you think you would find support here ? No one is forcing you to keep the car . Maybe someone else can enjoy it .

I get where you're coming from but tad boring to me means highly competent. The first thing I noticed about my 992 was the prodigious rear grip and outstanding, surefooted handling that felt eons better than my M3. The insane grip makes me not want to ever buy any other RWD/front engine car. Does it make it less of a hooligan than the M3? Sure. Also, I do feel that the 992 could have more drama as the stock PSE is way too quiet in any mode even after thousands of miles of break in. The manual shifter also feels far too smooth and refined and I would prefer a notchier shifter with a more positive, direct, clicky engagement feel. But these are minor quibbles that can easily be fixed with aftermarket products. The one magic trick that a 911 does that can never be duplicated by any other RWD cars is, again, that insane rear engine aided grip, which is amazing and never boring.
here is the best Porsche of them all. Grip is unmatched. I just took this picture a few hours ago in Door County WI.

911g8tness,
I was feeling exact same way about car and I put 200 cell HFC with PSE and was still not impressed. I then ordered Kline iconel rear section. I should have it within 2 weeks.
I was happy to read your happy with results on yours. Question though: are you running exhaust valves open full time via M tune? That’s my next step the M-tune stage 2.

I have a clip of the exhaust on IG @911.porschefans

I just got back from a weekend drive with a Lotus Exige S.
For those here who think that they want something more mechanical, spend about 2 hours in an Exige S, and you will rue the day that you ever thought to yourself that the 911 was too plush or boring.
Between the unassisted steering, the cabin noise, complete lack of NVH material (or even the pretense of it), and a chassis and cabin that gives new meaning to the word "demanding" with the rigid seats and ingress/egress that would make a gymnast wince, mechanical becomes less of something one yearns for and more of something one respect and prefers to admire from afar. Very afar.

On the contrary, I rather enjoy the Exige, just not as a daily driver, which is what a 911 is.
Yes, a 911 is a daily driver. Anyone who is saving a 911 for the weekend, or those special occasions is really doing themselves and the car a disservice. Themselves, because the car is not that special. The car, because it was engineered to be driven, and driven regularly (hence, the back seat and back storage area and ample frunk).
So as a daily driver, I do not want the 911 to be "mechanical" -- I want it to be comfortable, but yet capable enough to hang with 97% of the cars on the road not north of 200k MSRP.
And this is exactly what the 911 is.

My description of the Exige S was not meant as a way to convey my dislike of the car.

I mean yes, it’s a DD meant to be driven, and I certainly did drive mine. But daily driving any car can get boring. I purposely avoided driving my 911 daily because I was worried that I would get bored with it. I only enjoyed my 911 when I was driving spiritedly, really. Hence the boredom if you are using this car for mundane tasks.
My new toy is not as practical as the 992, but it still can be used as a DD and there are people who DD R8’s. But my approach is still the same: take it to work here and there, but do most of my driving on weekends, of the spirited sort.
