Lets be honest, the 992 is a tad boring

The driver makes the car, not the other way around.

I remember that story when it happened years ago! It is ironic that Michael Schumacher - arguably the greatest race driver of all time - ended up in a coma and what many believe a close to vegetative state from a low speed ski fall. All the crazy aggressive driving didn’t get him but going down at slow speed to help a party of his group get up from a fall resulted in him falling down himself and hitting his head on a rock. What a freak thing and truly sad.

Get a 992 GT3 ,had a 992S manual before the GT3 makes the 992S feel like you’re driving a Buick. Actually It can get a little too much at times, for just driving the 992 is much better. For excitement , mechanical feel and OnTrac performance Gt3’s way go. Downside for me it’s a two hour car my 992 I never got tired of driving. Carl

I have a 992 S manual also. Hate to say it there were times I felt as you did.
Didn’t feel that way with my previous 997s coupe and even less so with my 997s cab
The car is Very refined from the factory.
I even started contemplating buying a 993 to get more connected and excited to drive.
Must say though, a few mods later and my perspective is completely changed.
Started with a numeric shifter, then an M-engineering tune, and now the icing on the cake that I think made the biggest difference ( because the car is fast enough stock) were the 200 cell cats and Kline exhaust. All three together and the car is sublime!
Driving a fast car slow is not much fun, even less so when there is zero drama. Try an exhaust and even in town driving 5-10 mph over the speed limit will be rewarding. It’s changed my mind 100%

If you don't like it, sell it.
Should be easy, it's a seller's market.

No present day high performance car is like its predecessors. That’s a good thing! I loved my 356’s and the early 911’s of the mid to late ‘60’s, that I had back then, but that was then and this is now. The lack of body rust/rot, the absence of oil seepage, fuel filters above your feet in the passenger compartment, king and link pin front suspensions and missing air conditioning or any semblance of a real heater/defroster were marginally acceptable then, but not today! The marque has been evolutionary and I both understand and appreciate it.

The car is so capable that it's never really breaking a sweat during typical driving on public roads... that makes it feel dull on public roads. Plus the people who actually buy 911's new are actually less and less the type of who want an outright sports car... and more the type of people who just look at it as a status symbol... and these are the same people who demand the increasing amount of refinement. Hell... on YouTube I saw an older man making a video of how to make the 911 QUIETER. wtf

Drive in Sport+ with manual shifting engaged. Roll your windows down. Nothing boring about it.

I don’t think it’s a troll post. The first supercar I ever drove, aside from
a rental 458 was my friend’s 720s. That car really hooked me into wanting a newer, cool sports car.
I’ve come to the realization that my GTS doesn’t sound as cool or feel as cool. It’s the lack of exhaust note for me that makes it boring.

Exhaust is a weak point of the Carrera Line. It needs to be louder, way louder. One can also try more aggressive brake pads and a more aggressive alignment. I think those 3 things would totally change the character if you're finding it lacking. Sport +, Manual shifting and windows down is good for me. I find that very engaging in the C2S
