Just venting - ADM

I've also had some disappointing experiences from Bellevue. Was told there were 6 or 8 in front of me as of last September. Now 16. WTF? I asked if they let preferred customers cut and was told absolutely not, that it's first come, first serve. I had to stop in to learn I was #16 now, since my sales *** won't answer my calls or emails. Guess I'll wait for the market to soften and will get a slightly used something. Somewhere else.

This is quite amusing. If no one is guaranteed a tomorrow, I'd struggle going away with the knowledge that I spent my last day pleading with a dealer employee for something not all that meaningful.

I love Porsche cars, I’m on my 14th and really don’t want any other brand. But I will not pay ADM or play any of these kinds of games with dealers. In the end it’s just a car, a great car, but still a car.
if this was the only way I could buy a new Porsche then I would move on. Just me not telling you what you should do.

Brother you are watching too much CNN and repeating verbatim what those newscasters are saying. End of the world stories gets eyeballs and clicks, that’s what they are selling. Yes the markets and inflation have been bad, but no one knows what tomorrow will look like. Don’t be so sure that things can’t get better from here. It will, it always does

You are of course 100% correct. The market is the market and people are going to get what they can get for their products. Just like the gentleman you were responding to if he was selling his house he would take the most money he could get for it. That would not be playing games that would be getting market price. And I don’t think we will ever see him complain if somehow someday these cars are selling for 10-50K under MSRP. That could very well happen. There’s a neighborhood near me that in 2005 for a newly built home that was quite nice was $350,000. By the peak in 2007 that same house was $800,000. After the housing crash in 2008 was back down to $300,000. During this last housing boom of the last couple years as people were leaving northern states and coming to Florida some of those houses, yes those same houses were selling for $1.2 million. No one was playing any games. People were bidding on the houses. Markets and what people are willing to pay determine final pricing. It really is that simple. How else could a baseball card or a stamp sell for $1 million? Don’t even get me going about art and what some of that sells for. Talk about playing games. Lol. If you guys are that mad add this Porsche pricing stuff thank God you don’t play around in the watch hobby. You would have a heart attack if you saw what’s been going on in the last five years.

It really boggles my mind that people who have clearly reaped the benefits of a market based economy can be so offended when it works against their desires.

Sometimes I think I’m the only one that remembers just how corrupted and messed up the Ukraine was all by itself long before Russia ever thought of invading them.

OMG, don't get me started on that one. I got my last Rolex just before covid at MSRP...it is worth double today or more, but I would never sell it. Put my name down for two more and maybe in 3+ years...the watch market is insane. Anyone willing to sell Patek Nautilus at MSRP

I'd bet they just aren't getting the allocation numbers. Clearly you have way too much free time to over think and I'd bet you're wrong. Do business with people you can trust, if you think the scam is in then pull the plug!!
