If Lange is being honest, and not trying to mislead the press/public, I think the conclusion is pretty clear - turbo and/ or hybrid 911’s are the future for it’s mainstay consumer 911’s.

Thanks for the link. Love the new design EXCEPT for the ugly *** pimples / warts on the front of the car.

Looks like a 3 gauge cluster to me from the photo.

I must say that I prefer the looks of the 992.1.

I bet those lights are real. They’re not on there by accident. This is the second mule with them (1st being the 992.2 Turbo)

The production version would be cleaner, but I suspect they’re referencing the 997 Turbo

More NA engines across the line up?
Pure fan fiction.

Refreshed headlights that make the .1 cars look dated? That one, you can take to the bank.

More dashboard parts sharing with Taycan? All signs point to yes. Heck the MY22 cars got the Taycan PCM.

…now that there’s been several cars with these design features, I am glad that I have 992.1. None of these mid cycle refresh updates improve the appearance of the car.

You’re proably right, but there is the case of the GT3 motor getting implanted into the GT4RS - that was dismissed as “fantasy” as well.

It is a pretty simple formula. Look at the changes at the 991.1 to the 991.2 and Porsche will do the same:

- Center Exhaust
- Slightly improved bumper (looking at these pics, I wouldn't say these are an upgrade)
- Some new trim options / EM interior options
- Improved onboard computer / digital dash ala Taycan (which all P cars will migrate to)
- Probably a new wheel option and color
- 3% to 6% price increase

4.0 won't happen. I'd bet on some weird hybrid though.

The exhaust tips moving to the locations they are in those pics make me 100% happy that I have my 992.1

Drastic change.

Can hardly tell it's a 911 anymore.

Basically brand new car.

Looks like a 992.1 body kit.

also, why is it that the 992.1 is growing on me just as they start teasing the 992.2??

It's going to be better than the 992.1 in every single microscopic way possible. Can't wait.
